Love my new Singer. Tackling my projects from lightweight fine detail to upholstery fabric with ease and accuracy. The needle down option and threader were my two most wanted details on a new machine and they are brilliant. I also received a lovely strong bag to store my machine if it ever has a rest from sewing, along with a few bobbins and needles. Sewing Outlet were proficient in dealing with a few initial issues. I brought two , one for myself (bride) and one for my daughter (maid of honour) I wrapped some ribbon around the stem of mine and secured with pearl headed pins , to match the grooms tie. Brilliant service from Singer shop. Excellent machine... an upgrade I've waited for ( with big expectations) and I'm not disappointed at all. Machine is a dream and I've adjusted to the convenience of not using the pedal and is very easy. My one and only grumble is the machine light is not bright enough but that's the same with a lot of them nowadays. I've simply purchased adhesive LEDs for sewing machines.

I really enjoyed having a go at using twin needles - I used them for a top stitching detail on this denim dress in a contrasting thread, not sure if it should be used for this as it mentions its really used for stretch knits but it worked a treat.

Just showing you a bit of Singer history still going strong since 1957. I find it much easier to sow accurately as I get a far better view of my work than with the modern conformation. Also the tubular bed so good for sewing fiddly things. The incandescent bulb is the original, so much easier on the eyes and lights the work well. I was very happy to open the box and see the machine was partly threaded with colours. I could n’t work out how to open the sliding door. Called the singer help line so that was good. Think a link to a brochure would be helpful. I found some threading tutorials on you tube as 1 and learnt how to thread 1 and 2, then it worked. Was great to get it working. The colour coding instructions were good but the loopers hard to make out.
