I can't answer definitively about the Mason Genie because I first had to buy jars, then wash the jars. Right now, I'm experimenting on how fresh they'll keep smaller tomatoes vs. the three that I left on the counter. Hoping the "canned" ones last long enough for me to use them, not just compost them.
