Love it so far. I bought one for my winter home in Mexico, where we live close to the ocean and have a lot of difficulty keeping any dry goods from getting weevils. I hope your product helps resolve our storage issues. I'll have to tell you next year. I also bought one for my home in Sparks. I plan to use it on items that do not get used as often to help maintain their freshness.

Since getting the Mason Genie, I've started keeping my dog's treats in jars and the freshness is unparalleled. I was using airtight flip top jars prior to getting the Mason Genie. I am not one to post reviews often, but I am really happy I bought the Mason Genie. We have a regular vacuum sealer with bags, but this cool tool is changing the way we look at preserving food. Aside from dry goods, it works for fresh fruit and veggies, kept an avocado from browning for four days (did not taste very good from sitting on the counter, so lesson learned), and we are testing new things every day. Mason Genie has transformed my life for the better! I've reclaimed my refrigerator and freezer. All the grains, seeds, and flours stored in the fridge because of bugs and mice, are lined up in the pantry. Bulk coffee is no longer taking up freezer space. Instead, it's next to the grinder. Your mason jar vacuum unit is a much better manufactured product than another product from China I bought which stopped working 4 months after purchase.

I took a chance and purchased Mason Genie. When I received it, I made a kale salad and stored it using my Mason Genie. After 4 days, the salad was crisp! I thought I'd do the ultimate test...strawberries. I bought a package of fresh strawberries. Half went into my crisper and half into a jar sealed with my Genie. I threw out the crisper strawberries after 5 days. My MG strawberries are still good after nearly 2 weeks!! Mind Blown! Great device!

I've been wanted to purchase this type of vacuum sealer for a few months. Seeing my cousin using it, during her fall harvest. I thought it would be quicker for myself because I'm a big canner/pickling guy. But it wouldn't work for certain types of foods. But we're excited to be using it for all kinds of nuts, flours, rices, coffee beans. Things like that.

Got it just before the truck came with fresh peaches, blueberries, blackberries and cherries… after freezing all but the peaches, I kept the berries and cherries in sealed jars in fridge to enjoy fresh. Just resealed each time I got a cup or more to eat. They kept for so much longer than I could’ve before! Gave me more time to enjoy fresh!! OK, have tried it now on several items, in tall mason jars I put Spring Mix lettuce, in another baby carrots and another raisins. So far the raisins are doing well, the carrots also after a week and still watching the lettuce after only two days. If the vegitables do well and keep things longer I will be over the moon.
