I just tried mine today and it did great! I was nervous that pulling the Genie off would pull the cap off but it stayed on air tight. Flax & Chia seeds are the first things I’ve tried. Next I’ll try something like avocado or banana to see how they do. So far the Genie is doing what I bought it to do. Save my food!

Best kitchen item I have bought in awhile. I seal everything from my dried herbs and spices, flours, granola, etc. For the fridge, I noticed a sharp increase of freshness for my berries, fresh herbs and open avocados. Anything you can put in a mason jar and seal will keep much longer. I highly recommend the Mason Genie to anyone interested in improved food preservation.

I just recently bought the kit, but have already used both my existing 32oz wide mouth jars, several pasta jars, plus a few smaller jars for produce in fridge (grapes, cherry tomatoes, chopped kale, beets, pico de Gallo, celery sticks, cooked black beans, cooked chicken peas, and an avocado).
