After figuring out I had a defective Genie, all is good. The replacement process could be simpler (had to send a video which wasn't able ti be opened on their side etc,) but once that was figured out, the defective item was replaced without cost.

The first one of this kind of appliances did seal jars but the seals didn’t hold for more than a few hours or a day or so at the most so I was reluctant to order this brand expecting it would be the same. This is a game changer for me...as soon as I received the mason génie, I put celery in one jar and cranberries in another sealed both...after 14 days everything was as fresh as when i put in jars.
