Works great, fresh produce, soups and spices...all vacuum sealed nicely. I went with different size Bell mason jars...just be gentle removing the air tight Bell lid from the jar...I put a butter knife on the sealed lid part and gently pry it with the mason genie opener, as soon as I hear air filling the jar I hold/stop the pry tool there so the seal part of the lid is not damaged.

I enjoy using the Magic Genie for sealing canning jars because it's very time efficient compared to hot water baths. It seals the jars tightly to keep foods safe.
