I watched several videos of the mason genie working on fresh fruit and i just had to try it. I bought one and immediately decided to redo my pantry. My husband and I cook a lot and wanted to make sure our ingredients are the freshest. I have to say; so far, so good.
So far, holiday baking has me preoccupied and I have opened and resealed my chocolate chip container several times.

Charges quickly and the charge lasts through many seals. A few issues with non standard Mason jars, for example an old pickle jar. Lids don't seal if not a perfect fit.
Also since I have smaller hand span it's sometimes difficult to pull the Genie off. I need longer fingers. Any tips?

Love it! Such a great new kitchen tool I’ve added to my arsenal. It works as advertised and I’ve used it every day since I got it - sealing fruits, vegetables, crackers and leftovers.
Great tip I use from one of the Mason Genie emails: I’ve set aside an older lid to place on top of the sealed lid when opening the jars. It really saves the integrity of the lids for longer use.

I am a diabetic who eats a lot of salads and trail mix. I like cut my veggies and store them until use as well as my baby spinach or lettuce. Both store for weeks. Since I make my own trailmix I make a lot at a time and it gets stale before I can eat it. It stores of months using the Mason Genie vacuum sealer.
Pictures: the spinach and mushroom are 2 weeks old! The nuts are one month and the dried apricots are still soft as the day I opened their package. Grapes are 3 weeks old.

Love it!!! I had to figure it out how to use it I thought I was doing it wrong. I twisted the bottom and it work the way it suppose to work for me. Anyway, my food taste so fresh every time I open the jar. My parsley, no more yellow leaves. Spinach kale yummy fresh so now I add it to my salads or shakes.
