I went out and bought a dozen of ball jars, they didn’t have mason. The lids also work just as well. I am storing my fruit and vegetables in the jars. We are getting rid of all plastic containers. I did have one jar of steamed broccoli taste funny. They may have fermented. I am planning on doing more as I learn how to use the Mason Jar sealer.

I chop bell peppers for use in my scrambled c eggs and also salads. The Genie keeps them fresh much longer and I love not wasting food! Im using quart jars for my lettuces and many other items. So, I tried out sealing raspberries, strawberries and some prunes.
I will give them the freshness test in a few days.
Next up, using a refrigerator dill pickle recipe that recommended using your sealer. After that, pickling some shelled hard boiled eggs for the refrigerator.
I might have to get another small refrigerator for the garage! :)

I took several items out of plastic bags and put them in a Mason Jar. It's is working out a lot better than my other storage containers.
I have a half of an avocado using the Masongenie for 3 days and it's still Green.
I'm single and I love to cook, so besides having to freeze lots of others things, I can put them in the Air tight Masongenie and it stays good in the frig for 4 to 5 days.

I didn't fully understand the instructions with using the WIDE jars. However, in reviewing a video, I was able to remove the small mouth and use the wide mouth.
I sealed 8 jars of dried goods and the lid stayed contacted to the jar.
I was VERY surprised how well it work. I was very skeptical but I use a lot of flour and wanted to store without it going bad, as well as brownsugar.

It works great! I have used it on walnuts, cherry tomatoes, strawberries, and grapes so far. The Mason Genie extended the life of the cherry tomatoes, strawberries, and grapes about an extra week or more while stored in the refrigerator. The walnuts (shelled) are kept fresh on the pantry shelf. As I consume anything in the jars, I take out what I need then reseal the jar.
