60 degree engraving bit did a great job on the One Ring Poem from The Lord of the Rings engraved on oak.
I also mistakenly drilled six 1/8” holes with a downcut bit … oops. A quick trip to the ultrasonic cleaner and it was good as new.

Great customer service. When I reached out about how long it was taking to receive my order, they were quick to respond and were totally transparent. I bought 4 different species. I’ve only received 3 so far but all have been great so far minus 1 chip in the edge of one of the cherry boards. That’s the only negative I’ve noticed so far. Lets start with the fact that I ran these on a machine that I equate to a cheap imitation of a cheap cnc machine. I'll just say, it's not a great machine. With that said, Using these bits on my POS machine actually turned out pretty decent results. I ordered a shapeoko that will be delivered this week and I'm excited to see what these bits will produce on a good machine. I will absolutely be purchasing bits in the future from CIC.

I have Shapoko Pro5 with 80kw water cooled spindle. Wish I could get a Carbide Create file that would allow me to make some settings changes to speed things up and make a quick finishing pass on the stars to get rid of the fuzzies.

Using Carbide Create to cut board. The field lines went great. when doing the logos, the 30 deg bit was leaving taller lines in the center field and endzone logos. I changed the tool path in Carbide Motion to an Advanced V Carve and it took much less time and cut everything down to the max depth that was supposed be.

The Golden Boy XL performed great. I needed a longer roughing bit to route out control cavities in guitar bodies, and extended flute length works really well. I was able to do a 2D adaptive strategy at full depth (in my case 30mm). Total time for the cavity was maybe 4min. Really impressed. I used the recommended speeds and feeds for a hobby CNC w/ spindle, at 15% optimal load. Wood was poplar. In harder woods I'll likely dial the optimal load back some, but time will tell. 100% recommended.

Excellent bits, used to carve six 32" round tables out of walnut with hard maple inlays. These tables were delivered to Mercedes Benz Stadium in Atlanta, and were installed into a new premium bar space.
The bits remained sharp for longer than I expected, and the detail achieved (especially for the Atlanta United Logo) was excellent.

I have to say the BamX is great to work with. The files were complete and easy to use. I did make a small change on the screws. I found the supplied screws stood a little proud and could possibly scratch a surface so I got some panhead screws and countersunk them into the plastic. The price of the kit was more than reasonable. I am going to try to sell these at my next craft show.
