Update: CIC made this right for me and I couldn’t have asked for more from them. This is a great company to do business with! The screws are too cheap. First screw the head popped off. Then I tried to back out what was left with vise grips but it just twisted and broke again. Finally had to use my multi tool to cut it out enough to hide it behind a foot piece placed to cover it up. That screw came apart too. Using a screwdriver by hand. I have no choice but to cut the end of this panel off and ...

This tiger Bamx is really great material. It makes projects really pop. I’ve found CIC to be very helpful. This is one of Ryan’s files. Although not original, it’s a blast making these things. And importantly, it gives me wins and successes, all the while teaching me. One day soon, using what I’m learning from these projects, I’ll be adding more complicated designs of my own.

It did a really nice job of showing me I needed to flatten my spoil board. I personally find it annoying to add juice grooves to boards, but after I fixed my problem the bit worked really well and I'll probably start putting them in more now that I've got this bit.

I done a. Practice piece on two pine boards and it went perfectly, however when I attempted it on poplar and walnut they didn’t fit. Somthing in my set up. I have two beautiful wall plaques now but I’ll attempt again soon. I’m still learning. I think I got over confident the second attempt and over looked a step. I have ordered other things from you since and appreciate your professionalism and love your videos

Great game box for a gift for all seasons. I like your videos they are very helpful. I would like to suggest that the amount of feed at .25 deep is a bit high for us novices. Would suggest .125 for the bamex...my spindle does not scream at me then.

Nice file, feeds and speeds needs adjusted. My first attempt broke bits and twisted router out of the frame. Second attempt was good, reduced the feeds to 50% and it worked well.

Tough part was making sure the barrel hinges holes were the right size. Like you said, there are different size 1/4 inch bits. I found that a downcut bit works best. Less sanding afterwards.

Excellent bits at a great price. I got it quick and the hand written note is an excellent touch! The 1/64th tbn cuts like butter and my inlays came out looking great. Nice clean edges and very little cleanup after the carve. This will be my go to bit for inlays from now on.

The file worked perfect. I ordered a few sheets of the bamx and made several patterns. I used some from CIC and was able to learn from the tool paths and add versions and patterns of my own in no time. Ryan does a great job on accompanying video to teach you how to do this. Bamx is way cool stuff. Makes you look like a pro, even when you’re a complete newb like me.

Very easy to carve. I found that a depth of .1 for the v carve is about what it takes to cleanly cut through the top layer. On two occasions, in a spot or two, a .08 depth of cut, there was a thin film of the top layer left. So to be safe, I use .1. Love this stuff. Does make a mess and takes some clean up around the carve with a stiff nylon brush and occasional a small blade.

Big Bummer! The Z axis thread rod assembly broke! This is a real downer because I had all kinds of carve presents planned! Anyway, as always, thanks for all your help and advice to me on my projects! I enlarged the box so that I could add a cribbage board on the top and apparently I didn’t shift the hinges on one side after enlarging so the holes don’t line up. Everything cut great though. Trying to decide if I should plug the holes and fix this one.

I used the red HDPE to make an octagon-shaped backer, and I carved the letters "featured items" on it. I hung the sign over a table in my retail store where I am featuring seasonal items, all made on my CNC machine.

I had one of the previous boards with smaller end grain pieces and then got 3 of the new ones. I feel the original had less sap wood & the inlay showed up better; nonetheless, they turned out great & the client loved them.

The kit was a real joy to work with. I called them and made a suggestion of identifying the screws and ball bearing sizes to make a maple & a cherry maze for the rest of the great grand kids. One more thing: I used my laser to identify the start and finish locations on the maze.

This bam x and Baltic birch plywood is great the color contrast in the bam x is awesome. The only real problem I had with it is I didn't set my depth of cut deep enough and it splintered really bad on the back. Other than that hopefully these tic tac toe boards sell and I will order more. Thanks JoeBob
