I bought this, for one I needed a new flattening bit for my surface board and second it was cheaper than a drum sander. I need to sell a few more boards before getting that sander. This bit did an awesome job. I used it to flatten my cutting board and it left a great finish. I think I could have went straight to 120grit and skip 80. I didn’t, but sanding with the 80 was much faster than before. If you need a flattening bit this is a great bit. I’m using it in a makita router for a spindle.

Getting the inlay board kits are such a time and money saving investment. Being in southern Florida hardwoods are hard to fine. So I would order online or pick up rough saw wood. Now I’m looking at planing, sawing, gluing and clamping. If I’m going with end grain inlay more sawing, glueing, clamping, planing and sanding. Where as when I get the inlay kit from CIC the wood can go right on cnc for carving. Bottom line: I’m looking at a 4 day project if I get my rough sawn wood where as with CIC in...

My wife converted our garage to a small store, and wanted a small sign for the window. Only had a few days to get it done, no time for sealing, priming , painting, and topcoating wood. Have been wanting to try HDPE for almost a year, and tis seemed to be the perfect opportunity to give it a try, and it did not disappoint. It cut well, and not a whole lot to clean up after cutting. I was surprised by how heavy it was, but I was very impressed with it.

Although you cant see the feet, they are on this piece and they make the project look way classier and much more appealing. I’ve made literally hundreds of boards of all kinds and for years I've used the rubber feet with the stainless screws. Yes, they work and I’ll use them again on some projects but for these premium inlay project and epoxy boards, I’m sold on the upscale appearance of these.

I like this kit, the included vectric file worked just fine for me. I had one small issue (on one side of the big black HDPE the black cut away to show the white - on the other side it didn't). I didn't panic and reset the zero a bit lower and cut again and all was well. I'm sure some of Ryan's videos where he demonstrates he's not perfect but continues on after a glitch helped me. Overall, this was an easier project than I anticipated and HDPE is fun to work with.
