My son couldn’t have been more surprised when he opened up the gift bag containing his quilt!!!!! All the years of memories from kindergarten to high school were sewn so perfectly together making this the best gift a parent could give to their child! I was a little nervous about this but am VERY pleased with my experience and the final product. I’m glad I followed the suggestion to size up to the 14” squares given the size of some of my shirt graphics— I would have been sad to unexpectedly lose parts of the designs on many of these shirts. This quilt was made with 30 tee shirts with many over 30 years old! It was hard to part with some of them like from the Rose Bowl National Championship from 1997. The memories this quilt holds are priceless and will now be displayed everyday in lieu of hidden in my drawers. This is great! A nice lighter-weight but substantial blanket. Keep in mind, these aren't stuffed with batting or traditionally "quilted down" with extra stitches to tie the front and back layers together, but I knew that going in so this is what I expected it to look like, and then some!
