Your book noon has such attention to detail it was not just the fun associated with building the model, but the memories that came flooding back and we were even able to associate with the signs and names we also encountered during the many walks we undertook. Got this as a Christmas present for my wife. Assembly was relatively easy, took three evenings to put it all together(there is a lot of tiny pieces like flowers, furniture, etc) but the end result looks fantastic.

In some cases the instructions were a bit difficult to understand what exactly to do like for example separating the lights in the beginning was a little challenging trying to identify which lights go with which group as they’re not labeled.
Other than that still a great experience. Definitely doing it again, already shopping for my next kit.

That was my 2nd one out of currently: 27. The Owl Bookstore was my 1st build. As a beginner, it was a challenge in some areas while easy peasy in others. I knew I was going to love them that’s why I bought so many almost a year before building my 1st one. I’ll tell anyone to try them, you’ll be filled with joy as soon as you finish one!

Loved it. I do recommend buying pack of different style craft tweezers for easy placement along with crazy glue. I wish all the nooks had a dust cover. But it was fun and therapeutic to do. I finished all Japanese themed nooks in a week.

I absolutely loved this kit. If you buy it, take some care to know the led power lines, they can get confusing, and there's not a lot of slack on some, but the kit is really good.
The only changes I could wish for are an easy way to keep the gatcha balls from sticking, and one or more of the other lights flickering occasionally.

Thank goodness for the online assembly video. It helped with the electrical assembly although I admit to needing to extend one of the led cables because of a me mistake. The kit looks beautiful on top of the bookcase. We traveled to Japan last September and explored this area while there so appreciate the vibes given off by the representative kit as it reminds us of our adventure to Japan.

Enjoyable build. Really a nice looking finished product. Like a lot of decent quality Book Nooks, some of the elements you really don't see in the finished product, but are what makes the assembly fun (example: stuffing actual paper into the manilla folders). The wiring in this was more complex - in that getting the length of the wires exactly right was very difficult (especially the two in the roof). Very challenging to get the length right (no easy way to tuck excess wire anywhere). Be careful...

Love the finished results. Definitely a difference in quality between this book nook and other brands. It was easy peasy until putting together the door. From then on, there were some challenges but I think it is due to some steps/illustrations weren’t clear. Other suggestion is to add a small piece of sandpaper to the kit. For the price, it should not be an issue. That being said, it is definitely one of my favorite projects. I highly recommend.

I really enjoyed it! The parts were wonderfully accurate and I had no trouble putting it together.
I made one mistake - step 34 you put the J16's in horizontally and I didn't notice in step 35 they go in vertically. But that was easy to correct.
And I find that the light switch is temperamental and can take quite a few tries to get the light to turn on.
But overall I was very pleased with the result.
And I was actually there in Kyoto in early May, so it's a very special memory...

I ordered my kit on April 13th and received the kit on April 21st. I was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer on April 28th which was devastating. I couldn’t concentrate on assembling the kit. But then decided to start to try to complete the kit and completed the kit May 26th. I inserted a photo of my wife and I into the kit. I will present it to her on our 55th wedding anniversary on June 7th. I think she will enjoy it in years to come even if I am no longer here .

Well designed kit. Wood can be fragile, as in any of these types of kits, but the overall fit was quite good. I used paint pens to touch up some edges to make the overall appearance better. The functional door is really quite impressive, and is commented on by everyone who sees the kit. Like always, look ahead in the instructions to make sure you understand what and why a part goes where it is supposed to go.
