I used these to cover screw holes in my picket fence. It looks great and my fence retains a clean look. I used composite wood to make the pickets as they do not rot. To be certain the covers do not fall out, I put a small amount of glue in the holes before installing the caps, which works out perfectly. I have purchased wood plugs, plastic plugs in two sizes and black screw covers. They all shipped fast and work great!

the 5/8-inch hole was actually more like 11/16 so the widget oak plugs were a shade too small. I used narrow strips of heavy packaging scotch tape to wrap around the outside. That seemed to work well enough but I also added some Gorilla glue around the hole to be sure. Used the stopper as a small door stop. Cut off about 1 cm of the stopper just for aesthetics, then drilled a small hole through it and inserted a screw. Drilled pilot hole in the baseboard and attached the stopper. Works perfectly and looks great.
