Comparing Quilters Select (QS) 36x60" to Olfa's 3-piece 35x70" mats: I've do a lot of fabric rotary cutting and have gone through several Olfa mats. I have had QS for a month now and think it will work and wear better. QS mat is thicker (2x), heavier, harder, seems to resist rotary cutting scars better, but isn't slippery. Being one piece, it avoids Olfa's attachment clips that get in the way or fiber tape on the back that always loosens. I'd gotten used to the seams on Olfa, but having no seams...

The problem with that was the topper got too heavy after a while and was making my ironing board unstable. It was breaking down.
