It was challenging yet fun. I just wish the motor would work. It did not release the pressure when I wound it up to attach it to the gear. And it does not say in the directions on how to release it.

This was really fun to build. I did have to repair a few pieces that broke when removing them from the boards. I had to also make a few adjustments and do some sanding to make it all work properly, but this is to be expected. FYI, a couple of minor things I noticed during the build. Part 278 on board 9 is only noted on one of its locations. Also on page 55 of the instructions, it doesn’t say the part number for part 294. I can send pictures if you need it.

It was great fun to build, took a lot more time than you claim but well worth it. Building the individual "modules" and integrating them into the project heightened the enjoyment. I did have to make a sweek to raise the platform where the balls enter the staircase to keep 2 balls from getting on the same step that would, at times, cause the balls to derail.

This clock was something I looked at for a while before actually purchasing. Clocks can be so unforgiving! I had already completed the Galaxy Marble Run and the Dragon Castle (which I loved) so I decided to go ahead and give this clock a shot! I wasn’t disappointed. I decided to take the time to stain each piece, which I definitely recommend. It just adds a beautiful flare to the project and lets you decide what you want your finished piece to be. Mine turned out to be exactly what I wanted! ...

One of the pictures shows me and my parents and a Battalion Chief at the Roseville Fire Department where after successfully building this beautiful piece I donated it to show my appreciation for towards the Department that rescued my family in 1991 from a carbon monoxide poisoning in our home. This puzzle/model is a wonderful piece and was amazing to put together all the details are just stunning. Thank you Wood Trick for creating this puzzle for all your fans to build , Everyone I show these t...

Challenging but very satisfying build. I would like a little more detail in the instructions, but I realize space is a premium on a kit this size. The completed piece is fully functional. I found all pieces sturdy and the only broken parts were small inserts with many spares provided. This is one of over 30 mechanical kits I have completed and is in the top 3 of my collection along with the Wood Trick Fire Rescue truck.

I have a lifelong friend who is recovering from a stroke. We get together one day a week and build Wood-Trick kits. Our latest build is the Terrain Titan. The kits provide my friend with occupational therapy with a tangible object at the end of the day.

Customer video review of Mechanical Mustang

I had bought a marble run for my elderly father a couple of years ago. After he recently passed, I wanted to do one on my own, in his honor. Apparently I chose one of the hardest models -- the mechanical mustang! No, I wouldn't recommend this one for beginners. That said, after much trial and error I finally completed it. The final piece to the puzzle -- when the horse kept getting stuck before it made a full revolution -- was the shoulder blades and hind leg equivalent. I realized after much ob...

Not finished building model but coming along very well. Parts are fitting well and moving properly. The fact that I have built two locomotives and the Galaxy marble run helps. Very sturdy and fun to see it take shape. Looking forward to final assembly and to see it transform into a truck. Amazing engineering.

I'd love to share my final project once it's finished. It is for my grandson so I wanted him to paint some pieces. (He's only two). Once I get the pieces back and put the final touches, I will send a picture. Thank you again for all your help! Have a wonderful day

Lots of fun putting it together. Everything was great but one thing that could be improved would be some of the illustrations in the instructions. In a few cases, an actual photo would be much clearer than a drawing.

I had a great time building this truck ! It was challenging and fun. I only wish it was easier to put the spring in place easier. Trying to install it I broke a part and of course it wasn’t one of the parts that came extra. So I had to order a new one and put my building on pause. New one came in and it broke again. Not sure why maybe it’s my fault. Either way i skipped the spring and finished the truck without the wheels moving. This was my first time doing a wood project and it won’t be my la...

I'm about 1/2 way into the offshore drilling rig. It's very complicated so I'm going slow. The piece fit together perfectly (very tight). The complexity of this model is amazing. All the gears and bushing that must be sanded and then waxed is unbelievable (by the way...they do not send enough sandpaper and wax for this project.) The guy in the YouTube video does it in 9 1/2 hours. I don't see how. I probably have 9-10 hours into to it so far and I have a long ways to go. This rig is not for chi...

Wood Trick Products are an engineering marvel, this lantern included. The laser cut parts unerringly fit precisely together. The Mortise and Tenon type connections are faultless. The laser engraved details are lovely. A pure joy to put together. I chose to use an AC power adaptor vs batteries as the power source, allowing me to use the lantern as a night light. Thank you Wood Trick! I enjoy supporting my Ukrainian friends and look forward to seeing new designs!

Customer photo review of Christmas ball
Robert P.Verified
Great little project! I purchased several that will be used for Christmas gifts with a special surprise inside. The only problem I had was with piece #14. The ends were fragile and there was only one replacement piece, so I had to make some small repairs (I cracked 3). Also instructions were a bit poor in placement of the Inner rings (top and bottom) and ended up having to reposition the bottom ring. These were problems I had with the first assembly. The rest have gone quite well. LOVE IT!

It took longer to add the colors than it did to assemble it. Care needs to be taken as the pieces are lean. I ordered two more. A delightful piece and makes a great gift.

One of the pieces that attaches lift arm to gear would work itself loose. I contacted WOODTRICK with info on parts. The next day I had a message informing my parts were on their way. Now that’s service. Looking to buy another marble run in the future from them. Buy far the BEST kits to buy for your money. RD

I absolutely loved Galaxy Marble Run. The instruction manual was accurate and easy to follow and the pieces fit perfectly. The final product actually worked--until some connections loosened! My advice is to use a quick drying superglue to make certain connections tighter fitting but also wax certain connections that are too hard to fit in place before forcing them. Double check orientation on every connection before securing it. Take your time, the final product will be a lifelong treasure!

What an awesome model to build! Incredible detail. Fantastic engineering, fabrication, and instructions. I love no toothpicks, and very few rubber bands. With a dab of paraffin, the parts snap together perfectly. I like the spring drive as opposed to a wad of rubber bands. But suggestion to future builders: Be wary when "unpacking" the spring ... its highly compressed. gloves and eye protection are advisable. Also, when installing the spring, be patient ... it isn't real easy. My nep...

This is my first wood model. I have been taking it slow to make sure I don’t mess it up. So far it has been a great experience putting the model together. The instructions are well done and easy to follow. There are a few small instruction improvements that could be made but overall I am very pleased with the build. The individual pieces come out easy and go together well.

This one is amazing. I'm always amazed by the precision of these models, and to be honest I was on pins and needles through the whole process because even after putting it together I don't know how the mechanism works--but it does, and this thing runs for a loooong time. It's awesome!

This item was a delight to build. It was relaxing and yet held a little bit of challenge in that thete are a lot of small pieces going off in different directions. Careful observation of how these parrs all connected together is required. I found that the application of color before the parts were released from the sheets to be useful and then only detail colors. The pieces are smallish but they were laser cut very well so not much pressure was required for their release. LED lighting, ribbons, ...

Customer photo review of Board 4 — Kinetic Clock: Modern
Richard H.Verified
It went well but kept accumulating losing time which I thought was a circuit board problem but it checked out ok. So I disassembled the clock and where it shows arrows on the instructions to rotate 30 times I instead rotatated another 60 times and rechecked waxing. This did the trick. It is now back together and keeps perfect time within ten seconds. Pretty good for wood. Very satisfied with it.

I had a lot of fun building this pick-up truck. This is my second kit with a spring assembly. It was much easier the second time, only taking about 10 to 15 minutes compared to over 1 hour when I built the Space Junk Robot. What took me the most time was hooking the end of the spring to the piece of wood. Each door opens, and after winding, the passenger front door is actually the "switch" that controls the movement of the car. It has 4 wheel independent suspension with the tailgate and front ho...

I am still working on project I decided to paint the model As I build it. Everything was great so far. I went with silver dark blue and gold metallic. Looks really good. I would like to see a left handed version. Maybe I just need to turn the hand frame upside down, don’t really know if that would work. Happy building to everyone!

What a masterpiece of engineering, fabrication, and creativity. Thank-you for hours of joyful assembly! Fantastic model that children and adults will enjoy watching. For future builders: 1. It is very helpful to look ahead a few pages to see how the part you're building will be used and oriented. 2. As others have mentioned, I had to glue a third railing at the bottom of the "rubber band flappers" ramp. Some of the marbles would overshoot. (thanks for all the extra spare parts). 3. I re...

Life happens! It took me a long time to assemble the puzzle. I am pleased with it. I do have a question. When I look at the puzzle near the wall, it is not parallel with the wall. It appears to be a little bit away from the wall near the top and closer to the wall near the bottom. It is spinning well. Do I need to correct it somehow?

I purchased this steam tank for my husband for Father’s Day and Memorial Day. He was in the Army for 40 years and taught all about tanks. How to use and fix them. I knew he would love it and he did. It took him 5 hours to put it together. He was thrilled when it took its first voyage crossed the kitchen floor. He is so proud of it. Thank you for this genius idea.

Customer video review of Board 4 — Spiral Marble Run

The Spiral Marble Run was time consuming and delicate to put together. Several of the pieces broke, cracked or crumbled either by punching out or snapping together in construction so it is critical to have Super Glue handy. Watching the end product in action is both satisfying and entertaining. Customer support from the Company was excellent.
