Customer video review of Board 7 — Galaxy Marble Run
Donna R.Verified
I constructed the Galaxy Marble Run about a year ago. This was my third project with WoodTrick and favorite. Unfortunately, after two major moves several pieces were lost. I contacted the support team and they quickly sent me the entire sheet that contained missing pieces at no cost. After replacing missing pieces it works perfectly. I wouldn’t have gone to this extent unless I absolutely treasure this structure. At the age of 85, I am now living at a care facility in Orange County Californ...

So far so good! The instructions are much easier to follow than the galaxy run. I love the little numbers you added to the pieces. It makes finding where they go so much easier! I have broken a couple more pieces on this one but some gorilla glue and a clamp made everything alright!!

I waited until today to write this review. I finished it yesterday and it works fantastic!! I followed the instructions exactly and watched your video as well. I did have a few fragile pieces break during assembly, but they had replacements on the spare sheet which worked out well. I did have to use wood glue on a few of the connections that were loose fittings. I also had to add additional guard rails where the ball jumped the track on occasion which I pulled from the spare parts sheet. ...

Just started building it today 12/4… The past kit pieces have fit properly, however part #63 on this one will not fit on the assembled shaft without either shaving the shaft or shaving the mounting hole on the gear itself.

This was my second WoodTrick project - the fire truck being the first. Huge fun to build. Instructions were clear and easy to follow. The few mistakes I made were correctable. I broke an important piece during assembly and contacted WoodTrick the next day. Within a week I had a replacement - very impressive customer service - and the truck was complete. I’m now building the Galaxy marble run.

Don't leave out waxing moving parts as shown in the instructions. And too much wax, like teeny chunks, can slow down the movement especially in the gear teeth. Running it many times helps distribute the wax more evenly. I bought a block of paraffin at a crafts store. Had a blast putting it together.

Im on my sixth model. I love this program you offer because nobody else offers it! I did give up on the ship because the two lower halves just don’t go together which is disappointing. However I love this company keep up great work!!

This model is very exciting to build. Attention has to be paid to the "timing" or rather the exact positioning of all of the moving and articulated parts, butbit is not stressful. I really enjoyed this build. The pieces are all durable and I would not rate them ad fragile, but care should be observed. Lubrucation of the parts that contact others is a must, I used wood lubricant and it all moves smoothly. Some tinketing was needed in order to get the switch functions to petform. Overall, this is ...

This little beauty was a really fun afternoon/evening project. It was very relaxing and when it was assembled, looked awesome. I only wish the spring wind up mechanism would propel the model longer... This one is very easy to put together...

This is the perfect model for a beginner modeler. The instructions are well understood and the pieces are made of superior 3mm plywood. I paid extra attention to sanding and waxing the gears so it runs smoothly. By adding a little more attention to detail, I not only have a model that looks good but runs out well on the floor. The track is merely for display. All-in-all a fun and relaxing build for an experienced modeler.

5 hours in, I’m about halfway complete. I must say, the precision of the intricate model pieces is mind blowing! Not a single piece has cracked while punching out, and all the friction fitting tabs are clean and tight. The printed instructions are quite clear, and the level of complexity is challenging - in a fun way. I’m extremely delighted with the whole package, and can’t wait to complete the model. Big question: will the moving parts actually work?

It was a a great kit. I got to hand it to the engineers and designers. The only problem I had with it was the spring motor. It just doesn't have enough power to make the tractor run for more than a second. I took a lot of time sanding and waxing all the parts and no matter what I did it just wouldn't run for that long. Other than that, as I said, it was an amazing build.

I wasn't able to get the video to upload but it is working smoothly and beautifully! It's my second project from wood trick, the first being the fire engine. I am totally pleased with the product, the directions, and even the replacement policy that I have needed one time. Let me get back to work!

Another great model, I love the engineering and mechanical aspects of this model. I probably spend a little more time than quoted sanding waxing and making sure that the mechanical components are moving freely every stage. As with all these models there are some tricky parts but following the instructions makes it a breeze double check the details every one is critical Great design can’t wait to see what I’ll do next

I love everything about Wood trick from products to customer service. We purchased the Parisian carousel. Put it together and had an issue with the spring. Well I took my chances and contacted customer service and a few days later we received the parts to try again. Worked like a charm.! Thank you woodtrick! We have our eye on a couple of other kits!!!

Customer video review of Gravity Marble Run
John B.Verified
The Marble Run is a great project to build and run. Outstanding wooden pieces assemble very solid and operates so smoothly! The only issue I had was with getting the #252 pieces out of the parts boards. They were difficult to punch out without shearing off a little piece. Those that did shear I placed on the inside edge of the marble runs so they really can’t be seen. Again, this is absolutely an outstanding kit. I love it!!

This my second Wood Trick marble run (plus two other kits previously completed). I had just started to assemble the gravity run when I carelessly broke two pieces that were not on the spare parts board. The replacement board arrived today. So, I am back at work. To keep busy, I was able to put together some components while I waited. Wood Trick models are a great pastime during these cold weather months.

Model builder of over 30+ yrs an seen this an was like I'll give it a try. Well when It was delivered in a pizza box my reaction was let's start this. Had a little trouble at the beginning due to the fact it was my first build of this type of model. Once I caught on it was fun an couldn't wait till the end. Pieces were easy to get off of main parts tree, clean cuts an fit together with ease the more the piece got put together the heavier an sturdiness it got. When finish I was like WO...

I love my chest! It was a challenge to put together. Really pay attention to the little line up dots and lines. I had to take apart and redo parts after I was totally done and tried to open it. I did break one piece when I tried putting it in the wrong place ( thought it was the right place until it broke). The box functions just fine regardless.

A complex, challenging puzzle! It was great fun putting it together, and it works very well - quite a sight! I love to show it off! Some tips for those who might be considering it: (1) Pay careful attention to the orientation of the parts - very important. (2) The retaining pegs slip out sometimes, but a drop of glue fixes that. (3) Check the movement of the gears frequently to make sure nothing is binding them.

Ever since I was a kind I have loved this kind of thing. I am almost 60 now and had as much fun building (and now running) this as I would have when I was 6. The puzzle is challenging and requires you take time and be careful but the end result was worth it. This took me a solid 8 hours and I am good at this kind of thing. I'm glad though because too easy would have been boring The packaging says this project is for, 14+. I would tend to agree with that. Unless your kid is very nimble wit...

Pretty good quality kit. Some instructions could be a bit clearer. Fits are snug and accurate although some are a bit too snug. I appreciate the free replacement as I broke a pretty significant part. However I had to contact them to get the free replacement. Did not see a way to do that on the website. But a pretty cool project in all.

Of all the puzzles I’ve made from you people. This was the most interesting and rewarded. I don’t know why it just felt good going together however you said to turn the secondhand 30 times I didn’t do that. I had to take it loose later on and do it then Should learn to follow instructions by now. Great peace about run out of your things to make but thank you for being you guys.

I've built a lot of these models now (I've seriously lost count), so this one felt really easy. However, the finished product is among my favorites. I love the way this clock works. I built the wall clock, and was always fascinated by the thing being powered by gravity. This one uses gravity to keep the hour hand accurate. It's so cool! I was a little concerned it didn't work at first, and then I realized the motor runs off a full minute, every minute. It's been running a couple days now and t...

The review is premature. I'm about 60% done. But, it is great. I worry it'll work as good as it looks, but building it has been fun. More complex and detailed than I naively anticipated, but so much the better. Relaxing and validating to see the product of the time spent on it

I bought the Dragon Castle kit and received, as a bonus, the Wizard Dragon. It was the most challenging jigsaw puzzle I have ever seen. For only having 184 pieces it still took me several days to complete. Now that it is done I plan on giving it to a jigsaw puzzle friend and challenge her to put it together. This was a really fun project.

This was an awesome build! I kept having to go back and reassemble parts when I did not pay close enough attention to orientation. I finally got the drive to sort of work, but not well enough to run across the floor. There are just so many moving parts, it is difficult to determine where the hangup is. And you are definitely correct is describing this as an expert build. I can’t wait to see what you will come up with next.
