This was my first time trying Slow Pitch Jigging. I bought two of Matt's jigs that have UV finish to them, and was not surprised that they both landed fish. It took me a while to get the hang of the Slow Pitch jigging technique, and a 2nd trip with better gear to take advantage of how well the jigs performed. I will have to pick up the other colors and sizes to compare, but I have no doubt that they will do as well. Great products.

This rod is amazing! I got it with the intention of casting jigs spoons and top water lures while I have my bigger rods out with bait. My first cast with a bucktail jig I caught a small fluke. The rod is sensitive enough to feel the bottom, but has enough backbone for bigger fish. I would trust it to handle a decent sized striper. These are really useful. They have some heft which helps get casts out there when using light tackle underneath. Or, they can work with weighted jigs and other items too. This is super visible out in the surf, both due to the size as well as the color.

I'm always looking for good travel rods. Came across this site online and took a chance. I'm impressed. Rod feels great. Plenty of backbone, launched 2oz lures with ease. I love it. Has a very similar feel to my St. Croix rods. Solid components. Took it down to the Florida gulf shores area and landed a bunch of snook. Paired it up with a 4500 Penn Slammer, feels great. Finally got on fish with this rod! I love how I can fit it in my check bag so I don't have to carry a massive travel tube depending on the fishing I'm doing.
Took a charter out of Florida. The captain and mate were impressed! They didn't expect a 4 piece being built that nicely.
Due to conditions, I was only able to test it on snappers and sheepheads, but it was perfect. Hopefully next trip I can push it to its limit.
