I have bought only smartwool in the past and find these much softer (and I’ve worn them hiking and for a few weeks consistently now). I will say this is my new favorite wool brand. I haven’t been in temps less than 40s Fahrenheit but they feel warm so far and I’ll be wearing them under snow or sweat pants when it’s colder anyway.

Like I said in the video, they are the perfect weight to wear alone or layer. I see no pilling whatsoever and I have been wearing them constantly since I bought them months ago. Not all petites are equal! I originally bought these pants in a regular size. Love the color and fit but were way too long. I am 5’31/2 inches and about 145 pounds. Was reluctant to get a petite but did the exchange for a large petite and they are perfect. With that experience under my belt I decided to try a pair of petite Piper leggings. I’m now in the process of trying to exchange them for a regular length.
