My Slot pack has been comfortable while packing a lot of weight on a long day. I’ve made two trips so far and can’t to get it some more extreme canyons.

I love the Slot Backpacks. I have tried many of them but these hold gear, don't get saturated with water when wet and feel great on my back!. Many backpacks for the canyoneering community are basically a tube with straps. The Slot packs are backpacks that float, keep my rope separate from gear and make guiding a pleasant experience. I recommend these packs to my friends.

Awesome smaller pack I bought for my wife, I carry a a Guide 50L so I hump most of the gear and rope, this is the perfect small canyon pack for carrying your personal gear, water, and snacks. The Canyon 22L is built just as durable and tough as its bigger siblings.

Slot is great for the harsh Utah deserts, which destroy packs faster than you can say destroyed. All my clothing gets destroyed within about ten canyons. Meanwhile, the slot packs hold up through the crawling, scrambling, scuttling, stemming, partner assists, and sliding required to get through Utah canyons. I love how tough they are.

Before buying slot’s backpacks, I sewed, patched, and ultimately replaced my canyon bags every few months. the desert sandstone grated my regular packs to death. Not so with these bags— they’ve been the best I’ve found for both flowing water and dry canyoneering. Totally worth the price. One of my favorite parts is the brain pocket— huge and super water resistant even when being pounded by big waterfalls.

I have several Slot packs and they are all fantastic for their intended purpose. Robust, functional and great fitting packs. Would love to see slot build a canyoneering specific rope bag that fits onto the packs when not in use. Keep up the brilliant work.

A perfect Canyoneering pack. It's durable, comfortable and the 50L size fits more than enough gear and drinking water for epic all day outings. Drains quickly after being fully submersed. I'll be ordering one in a smaller size for my shorter scrambles. Well done SLOT!

Great packs! Very durable, holds enough food and gear for the day, if not carrying a rope. Can carry a 100 ft rope and still have room for minimal gear, food, water. Can even carry a 200 ft rope, although not room for much else besides water.

This bag is incredible and I love it! I'm a guide in southern Utah and it's perfect for the abrasive sandstone out here. I use it primarily as my Via Ferrata guide bag (which requires quite a bit of rescue gear in addition to rope). My buddy got the 38L One and loves it, but I wanted a little bit more room so sprung for the 50L. I didn't realize that there are actually a couple important differences between the two bags. The brain section on the 50L has two pockets (38L has one) that are very go...

I’ve only used a few times so far but love it! It’s super tough and bomb proof. I love that you can take out the big waist band and use just the webbing buckle. It makes it smoother for raps when you have stuff hanging off your harness. I don’t use the rope flap on the inside but you can just push it out of the way if you don’t need it. I live in the PNW where we have really wet canyons and it drains out quickly.

I went to Moab for the first time this September specifically for canyoneering. The bag was terrific!! It took a beating and is ready for another canyon adventure. Thank you for such a great product. I am in the east fork of Leprechaun in the photo.

Our family and friends go canyoneering in Utah at least monthly and we put our Slot packs through some tough canyons. They last longer than everything else. The 26L really shines in the tight canyons--my kids and I love them. I just ordered a couple more during their last sale.

Dave designed the last bag I carried (for a decade plus), so when I went looking for a new take-it-anywhere bag I knew where to start. I'm not some badass canyoneering dude, but I DO suck at taking care of gear. The level of both detail and ruggedness in this pack is exactly what I'd expect from a world-class designer who gives a shit. Airplanes, cars, heavy brush, dirt, the back of my truck, hotels, etc. This bag is making the rounds. Here's a pic BEFORE I started putting it through its pa...

Great gloves I have been able to put a couple short rappels through them and I would say they are the best half fingered gloves I’m used!! I have short fat fingers but big palms so if I use normal gloves they have a lot of extra materials in the fingers.

Just got back form wearing your shorts for the better part of 8 days hiking the "O" circuit in Patagonia. They were great. I'm 5'10" and about 161 lbs and large were perfect.

So far this is a great pack for the desert canyons! I have only had the chance to take it down a couple of canyons. It sits well on my back, just the right size for a well-prepared techincal day trip, very durable and very well designed. I would definitely recommend this pack!

As a family, we try to go canyoneering monthly--sometimes more, sometimes less depending on what's going on with school, work, and sports. I've tried lots of different packs and have shredded lots of them before putting money down on the Slot packs. The Slot packs are build tougher for those tight squeezes, drags, tosses, etc... that happen in the canyons. We prefer the 26L for the tighter canyons where you have to squeeze through parts. The accessory wetsuit bags that strap on top are nice to ...

Best feel! Fabric lighter and more breathable than other sun shirts I've owned. Hood is great, not too big and doesn't pull up the shirt either. Perfect for a day on the water.

Perfect mid-weight throw over to always have on hand. Some clever details make this fleece very versatile. I really like the zippered front pockets to secure items on the move.

Disclaimer… I’m a pack-a-holic; some people love shoes, others love watches, well, I love packs. That being said, this is a phenomenal pack. Extremely well built and thought out. I look for two things in a canyoneering pack: the ability to comfortably carry and access the gear I need, and durability. I can confirm that this pack is a 10/10 in both areas. I recently used this pack for three days of knocking out canyons in Zion. I was excited to see how it handled wet canyons and long days with ...

We love our 50L guide pack! We do a lot of canyoneering and have dragged this pack through many canyons. It carries well, packs well with the divider and is great to use with the single rope system. A much needed addition to the world of canyoneering gear!

Bought this pack specially for slot canyons and I couldn't be happier! The Single Rope System works awesome and rappels are quick and easy. The center of gravity on the bag feels nice too while rappeling and doesn't make you feel like you're being weighted back or going to flip. I also love the removable hip strap and how you can move the water bottle holder. Got the bag very muddy doing egypt 1 and it washed off really nice and easy with a hose once back home. Definitely recommend this bag!

This pack has been essential to many adventures so far in just one quick season! Works great as a climbing pack, comparable to say the BD guide, and also has served me well as a pack-rafting pack. All of your gear can fit inside and the loops on the front make it easy to attach your packraft or any other excess gear. The fact that it doesn’t have a hard frame makes it perfect for storing. You can fold it in whatever way you’d like.

Love this pack! I know this is a canyon pack, but it functioned just fine in the alpine tundra on Longs Peak. Seriously couldn't be happier. It carried all of my food and water plus gear and camera equipment and never it never got uncomfortable. Took a beating in the boulder fields and still looks brand new!

Got the bag around Christmas. Have ran it through about 6 canyons in the Zion area. Packs great. Tons of room in the 50L for rope and extra gear. My daughter loves turning me into the pack mule. Looking forward to a full season with it.

I have used Slot packs for several years now. I love how they feel, rather than a tube with straps, it feels like a fitted backpack that is tough enough to deal with the rigors of desert life.

Floats lovely. Also since this is a follow up on my previous review they have excellent customer support. Thanks for making a pack with all the features I wish my old pack had. One thing to note that I loved is the straps have places designed to tuck in so you don’t have to worry about them while rappeling.

Well-built, extremely durable and well-designed bag. It basically is a dry bag as well for descending into water. I do like the side adjustments on the bag in case you are carrying less gear, you can cinch it down. Used it down in Escalante and it did well over a number of canyons and slots. Highly recommended. Built like a brick house!

I bought this pack becquse I started guiding in wet canyons and I was borrowing one my employers Rodcle pack. Everyone here uses rodcle or sierra verde packs. Honestly they don't fit me very well. I'm 5'2", I'm do glad you guys have an option for us shorter people. Having worn other packs in an 8 hour canyon carrying a wet 70m rop, I can say this is the mos comfortable one I've ever worn. Other packs dig into my shoulders, but this one does not, I believe the sizing is big part of it, the hip ...

big fan of this bag its not gone to any canyons yet BUT have been using it as my daily driver backpack and its been awesome the low profile is super helpful given my tendency to try and squeeze and weave through people/doorways nice to have a backpack that doesnt stick out an extra foot behind me also, while it is not waterproof (by design), the water resistant fabric has done a great job keeping my papers dry brought this bag to my grotto meeting this month and they also said "of all the...
