On one of my items it looked like it had some sort of marking on it. I was afraid to try to remove it because I wasn't sure what it was and I didn't want to damage the piece. I contacted Spirit Pieces customer service and they contacted the artist. I heard back the next day and was able to remove the marking and it did not damage the item.
