Best kitchen item I have bought in awhile. I seal everything from my dried herbs and spices, flours, granola, etc. For the fridge, I noticed a sharp increase of freshness for my berries, fresh herbs and open avocados. Anything you can put in a mason jar and seal will keep much longer. I highly recommend the Mason Genie to anyone interested in improved food preservation.

Since getting the Mason Genie, I've started keeping my dog's treats in jars and the freshness is unparalleled. I was using airtight flip top jars prior to getting the Mason Genie. Now I'm hunting for bigger mason jars to hold all my dog treats as well as other things. I can't wait to see how well it does with fresh fruits in the fridge and how much longer it lasts this way!

We’re using 3 different sized mason jars to store our stuff. As much as I’d love the product because it’s a great product. My disability doesn’t allow me to be able to open the mason jar after it’s been vacuum sealed so I struggle getting the vacuum seal on and off the mason jar because of my Disability however it’s a great product.

Started using day it was received! I love it. Got it just before the truck came with fresh peaches, blueberries, blackberries and cherries… after freezing all but the peaches, I kept the berries and cherries in sealed jars in fridge to enjoy fresh. Just resealed each time I got a cup or more to eat. They kept for so much longer than I could’ve before! Gave me more time to enjoy fresh!! I also purchased 3 for gifts this Christmas, unless I break down and gift sooner ☺️

This is finicky to use, but as with most skills gets better with practice. A few points to consider: -The Mason Genie does not work with older "strong shoulder" jars. See comparison photo. -If removed from the jar at even a slight angle, the seal could break. -If removed from the jar aggressively the Mason Genie rubber comes out of the sealer. -My cheap brand of lid takes two times to seal in ideal conditions. The chalk board lids accompanying the Mason Genie are more reliable, as are my friend'...

This is such a great product and so easy to use. We use it for vegetables, fruits, grains, and more. Did a side by side of a half an avocado using the genie vs half an avocado without. With the genie avocado stayed fresh and green, zero browning after one full week. Strongly recommend. Much better than even expected.

What a cool product! A few weeks ago i bought a Mason Jeanie - how cool! Over a week ago I had 1/2 of an avocado & sealed it in a jar with the Mason Jeanie. The avocado is still just beautiful - My husband didn't want to unseal that avocado; so after eating part of a fresh avocado he wrapped it in plastic wrap & put it in the fridge - I threw it away a couple of days later because it looked awful - mine still is in the fridge & looks as good as when I put it in (I want to see how long it lasts)...
