I store a lot of dried goods like, freeze dried milk, dried herbs, dried fruit, dried spices, rice, flour, corn meal, dried beans, etc. The only way I can keep bugs or mice out of it is to keep them in glass jars. I’ve been using my new MasonGenie jar sealer for about a month now. I’ve placed different items in mason jars such as loose tea, flour, walnuts, and pecans. I even purchased 1/2 gallon jars to put larger quantities of items in the jars. I also put berries and vegetables in the jars for the refrigerator. Every thing stays fresh, even up to 10 days later- maybe longer, but they are usually gone by then!

This is awesome. I first sealed a pint of fresh blueberries and put them in the fridge. Two weeks later I ate them as fresh as just picked. Then I did a half can of peas, which usually sit in the fridge and go bad and finally a bag of peanuts. I love this masongeie!

Mason jars sealed with my mason genie, tupperware fridge smart ( made to protect produce and help it last and in the containers from the store! I absolutely love this! It is small enough to keep right inside my cupboard for quick use. I use it everyday. I like having fresh fruit but it seemed to always go bad after a couple days, not anymore! We also like having cut onions for a quick omelette or salad but hated the smell of them in the fridge, since sealing them in a jar, no more smell! I would definitely recommend having one of these if you like saving food and money.

Just a few of what I've used my Genie for. I have also sealed strawberries and blueberries that lasted for a couple weeks instead of days. I also have chopped celery and scallions and radishes in jars in my fridge since 3/2 which is great bc I am diabetic and I actually get to eat my veggies instead of throwing away.
