I have used the Mason Genie on lots of products (dry grains, flours, sugar, etc) and fruit (half an apple, cut mango), snacks (M&M’s, nuts, dried fruit, and chocolate or butterscotch chips for trail mix) and they all are perfectly preserved. The fruit are in the fridge and the other dry things are in the cupboard. I’m impressed with the whole process and my daughter might be interested, too.

the only thing I don't like it that its hard to put on the jars and to take it off its like like it gets stuck. I can't do it myself, I have to have my husband do it and he has a hard time getting it on and off. Any suggestions?

I've done an experiment and used the mason genie on 1/2 of my container of berries and left the others, in the fridge, in the store packaging. Very easy to use. Reduced space in refrigerator by using the jars. I would suggest improving the instructors on what the lock/unlock symbol was for. Food does appear to stay fresher longer, only have used it for a couple of days so I am not sure, will see in a few days.

I had purchased my Mason Genie and loved it. I bought lots of Mason jars and stored pasta, rice, sugars and more. After about 7 months it didn’t seal for me. I contacted the company and they stepped up and sent me a new replacement, no charge. All I had to do was send them a video of me using it to show how it wasn’t working for me. I love this company and product! I use mine at least 3-4x/week. I store everything I can in my jars and I display them openly in my kitchen hutch.

Mason Genie is such a good product and easy to use! It’s great for keeping berries, and smaller veggies fresh for considerably longer than just stashing the items in the veggie and fruit bins. I don’t like a lot of extra steps in the kitchen, but quickly stashing the items in jars and walking away while the Genie is sealing the lids allows me to take care of other kitchen prep projects during the sealing process. Easy peasy!

I really like this method of storage. I have lots of jars from past canning and a lot of lids. I LOVE that you can use a regular canning lid to seal dry foods that may otherwise turn stale quickly.
