My Dorie loves cuddling in the basket but never uses it for scratching. So I am very happy on the one hand and disappointed that the reason I really purchased it was for trimming her claws down.

When I come home from work, it’s the first place I look for her.
She does not use it to sharpen her claws, though, so I believe she will still need her nails trimmed regularly.

Bru is a big boy and the larger size fits him perfectly. He was in it on day 1 and he spends pretty much all of his sleeping time in it.
He doesn't use the ball and string but his nails are needing much less trimming than before, although I haven't seen him scratching the basket.

Gertie did something she has never done! She stepped into this new basket and laid down. She loves the basket and it’s clear she feels very safe in it. I can’t yet tell if she is clawing the sides of the basket to help her nails.
