VERY VERY nice stones with amazing feel and finish! These take very little pressure to do serious work even on extremely hard Maxamet. I don’t have the lower grit stones yet so I started the reprofile (set the bevel at 15° per side) with my TSProf diamond plates. Once I got to the medium grit range I started with my 650 diamond matrix and progressed to the 1100 and finally the 2300. Really nice stone storage box! This looks much nicer than their stock photos. The fit and finish of this is extremely nice and it holds the stones very secure. I have several different brands and sizes (thickness) of 6” stones in it and it fit every single one of them. I love this stone and I'm probably going to end up with a set of them. I got the 120 grit since the 60 was out of stock. I wanted something for fast material removal, and I wasn't disappointed. I got the Xarilk (clone of the Kadet Pro) from Amazon for Christmas. The arm of the locking cam had galled the washer so much that chips of metal were all over the base, and it wouldn't stay fully locked which made it wiggle. I fixed this with a hair tie. Love this one. Sharped this paring knife assuring I have no trouble serving margaritas this cinco! Worth the effort tracking it down. I have been making my own with blanks and leather from a vendor on Amazon, but feel I chose the wrong weight leather which makes my strops thinner (should have chose 9oz). These strops are thick and consistent with a firmness that is not mushy and probably won't round your apex unless you're smashing it into the blade. I own all of Dan's basic lineup in 6x1 stones now from soft, hard, translucent, and black. Dan's quality is second to none and I know where Dan sources his stones. I fell further down the rabbit hole. I'm an old free hand sharpener using Dan's Whetstones for years. I absolutely love Dan's but recently got a cheap Xarilk 3rd gen for Christmas and was blown away by the results on those crummy little diamond plates that came with it. I did a lot of research and I opted for investing in the Edge Pro plates. They really lay down soft beautiful scratch patterns and a hell of a mirror with the 1700 and 4000 plates. It's quite simple. I needed to find a way to clamp smaller folders in the center of my sharpener. This little adapter is a game changer. It fits perfectly on the toohr sharpener. Since a cannot yet afford the real deal I'm very happy I found this adapter. The 'K03 Whole Milled Fillet Clamps' are a worthwhile upgrade from the 'K03 whole milled clamps' that come stock with the K03 pro hunter. The fillet clamps open wide enough to sharpen every knife I own including my thickest butchers cleaver. The fillet clamps also have the ability to sharpen at shallower angles before the whetstones starts grinding aluminum away from the clamps. Love the 40 micron edges this stone provides. Has a really nice bite to it. Sharpened a small section on an S35VN blade to show the edge you'll get off this stone, that being a satin finish and toothy. Being resin bonded, these produce a much nicer edge finish compared to plated diamonds in the same micron range but retain the same amount of bite. You won't regret getting these stones, just keep in mind they may need to be dressed with SiC powder to get the full sharpening potential from these....

So prior to this upgrade, I only had the Lite clamps for my R2, so I was unable to clamp shorter knives at all, and was pretty limited on how low of an edge angle I could achieve with the ones that were big enough to clamp. I got the Lite clamp extender adapters as well as the center KakBritva clamp one. I am very impressed in the clamp itself, but the addition would've been impossible without the GearConnect adapters.
