I normally use bespoke made high quality belts as a living historian, so I’ve been leery for a year to spend $100 for a mass produced one even from a name like Hanks because name brand and $$ doesn’t always actually equate to bespoke level quality. Well I've got a couple of your belts for myself so I bought this one to give to my brother so he could pack his little Smitty his little Smith & Wesson easier in a cross draw a holster. The double eagles beautiful belt and the roller buckle is outstanding. I just got to figure out how to be able to hold the rivet and turn the studs out of the female so I can change my belt buckle now. This is my first real leather belt and the immediate difference in quality between this and the typical department store belt was astounding. Looks and feels great, is perfectly sized and I’m really excited to break it in. Hank’s belts are awesome - well made will last forever. Originally, I wondered is paying over $100 for belt a good buy. It is because of the quality. I have bought the 1.5 inch in brown and black. I just recently purchased a 1.25 inch black for my dress slacks. Now I am looking at a 1.25 inch in brown to fit the skinny loops on dress slacks. Last belts I will have to buy, because they only get better the more you wear them.
