I think it’s an improvement over the original Izzo non-directed shower flow. Mine is an HX (single boiler) so the initial flushing of the e61 group will spit/splash. But the flow is well distributed in the portafilter, see attached photo of puck.

Diffusion screen is great - together with puck screen holds almost no residue. EP basket is also good, only issue is the flow is a bit higher than OEM basket, so have to dial it in separately, want to compare it with HE basket. Holder is top notch, like the colorway a lot.

Our Breville plastic part was definitely cracked, prior to removing we could see water was shooting out to the right when rinsing the shower head. Since replacing with the Pesado 58.5, our coffee has been supreme. Best thing ever!

Easy installation on my 2011 VBM duobar E61 grouphead. I also upgraded to a larger capacity portafilter basket from another company (22-24 grms capacity). I have been using the new portafilter/shower screen for about a month now. I think the new shower screen has cut down on channeling a lot. I think my puck prep is also better, and the 1:2 ratio espresso is just amazing... I think it's a worthwhile upgrade.

Installation was a breeze and function is next level. You can see the more uniform water distribution pattern and the larger wetted surface area as compared to the original basket with its bezel, must make a difference to overall puck distribution. As with all Pesado products the finish and quality is top level. A worthy purchase to upgrade your coffee experience.

Love the new diffuser and basket. Shipping was faster than I expected, and as soon as it arrived, I was making espresso. The diffuser made the water distribution much more consistent, and the basket is awesome. My Breville Barista Express is dialed in and producing cafe quality espresso. I’m seriously making as good of a cortado than my favorite coffee spot with their $15k, handmade machine. Great job with this upgrade.

Got this at the same time as a bottomless portafilter. The new shower screen definitely allowed for a better water diffusion through the puck. The new portafilter allowed me to dial in the process. So now I get actual cafe quality from my Breville Barista Express. Who'd have thought!?

Looks good, matches machine, locks in nicely, good quality recommended for la marzocco micra owners who feel let down by the plastic portafilter attachments which come with the machine. I use this with the spouted attachment and I am very happy with it as an alternative.

It was very easy to install. You can tell from running water through the screen it now distributes water a lot more equally across the portafilter. This has led to a significant improvement to flavor profile of a shot! We’re really impressed. I wish we’d discovered this sooner!!

Great product. The water is flowing again. I added pics of the factory shower screen only after a few months of using it with a puck screen. This is easier to clean and the water comes out nice and even. I was having issues dialing in the perfect brew. Once I added the pesado, the creama is flowing. I definitely recommend getting this

I purchased the high diffusion shower screen because I thought worst case it is some sexy espresso machine bling, but to my very pleasant surprise the combination of the HD screen and HE filter basket took my espresso to the next level. I found much more depth and complexity of flavor and can now enjoy the fruity, spicy, chocolate notes that typically can only be found in a carefully prepared pour over.

Unfortunately, right when I put it on for the first time my low pressure , and hot water dispenser stop working due to a calcium clog. So for first 2 weeks I used without dispersion plate, and bypassed low pressure, by skipping pre infusion by timing button press, then out of nowhere low pressure function came back, hot water came back so in my mind , clog was dislodged. I installed it on a Lelit Bianca one day ago; previously, I had an IMS installed. In person, it looks very nice, the craftsmanship is high-quality, and installation was easy, although screwing things in on a hot E61 machine isn't exactly fun. The water distribution is much more even now, and keeping it clean is also significantly easier. I’ve run into one problem: the Cafelat gasket I’ve been using so far keeps falling out of place, but I need to buy a new one anyway.
