When I first used this powder I used it by itself. It really added texture but did clump my hair to the point of not being worth it over pomade. Later though i decided to use it after applying pomade. This really made a drastic change adding more definition to the pomade and way longer lasting volume and texture to the pomade. Also using them together makes the clumpyness of the texture powder almost inexistent.
