I’ve been wanting one of these for a couple of years now. I finally pulled the trigger and bought one and I’m very happy with it it will not tip over and it rolls over anything in my way wire ties, electric cords, etc.. The only thing I did wrong was not buy a back rest at the time, I’ll be ordering one soon Thanks Dennis Schubnell.

I was reluctant at first to spend this kinda money on a shop chair. I had been buying HF stools but I had one fall over from the small wheels. I said I'm worth the price of the Vyper chair, and I bought it and have never had such a great chair. I should have bought it the first time I saw it. Don'y wait until you fall on to the concrete like I did, just buy the chair and thank me later.

The seat back was sturdy, easy to install and solid as a rock. I just finished a 14 hour polish on a Dodge Ram TRX and this saved my back. It was easy to sit with my back supported and continue polishing with ease.

Top quality as expected from Vyper. Easy bolt on with a 1/2 inch wrench and 1/2 inch deep socket and ratchet with a short wobble extension. Powder coat is flawless and the back rest pad looks like the pads I see on cable machines at the gym - built to last. All the hardware is included and the all metal lock nuts really grab and hold. I bought 2 of the Robust Steel Max chairs, one for me and one for my husband. It took me an hour for each chair. Not bad for a girl, eh? My 4th Vyper chair. Amazing quality construction. Highest quality components. But once cry once. I’ve spend a lot on other chairs that just do not hold up over time and are not in the same universe as far as quality goes. I own 4 of the Vyper chairs, couple for my house garage, two for my shop. Made at home in the USA. My grandchildren will hand these down to their grandchildren.. keep up the amazing work Vyper!

I've been a professional tech for 38 years, that means 38 years of wear and tear on my back, knees, shoulders, etc. I have always invested in the best tools and currently have a variety of stools from the big brands, I can't believe even $nap-on never made one this robust and comfortable! The price may be big, but I will say from experience, it's always worth it. You want a big boy stool, invest in big boy quality you will have until Valhalla.

First off I have read a lot of the other reviews, and although I agree with some of the complaints, it doesn't warrant a lower than 5 star star rating. I've been wanting a Robust Steel Max Vyper Chair for a vety long time! The one thing that was holding me back is that the chairs did not have a gas cylinder for easier height adjustment. I already had a Robust Steel Max chair Max and love it. It is great at working on fender height work. However it's a little too high for things down low like brakes. So, I bought the Robust Steel Sport and it is perfect for those down low jobs. I have spinal stenosis so it is very hard to bend over and I really need back support. I had been looking at these chairs for sometime. Just finished a new shop with a wash bay and then this chair dropped. Only 50 were being made so I had to act fast. Fits so good in my shop. Have absolutely enjoyed it. It sits a little high for doing car wheels but is great when paint correcting panels. The Low-Pro is on my list next to make wheel cleaning easier. I was on the fence for a while because of the price. After reading reviews and watching videos comparing different chairs I decided to place my Vyper order. I am glad I did. This chair is the best chair on the market. They are in a league of their own and no one else comes close to the quality and comfort this chair gives you. Absolutely enjoyed assembling this chair with the exception of the top cover plate having burrs on the bore making it impossible to slide the shaft into the lift assembly. Took some deburring by knife and dressing with sand paper!! Other than that, seamless process!! I do have one suggestion though, either clean the aluminum parts of the coolant from machining and/or anodize the aluminum parts (gold or something) to protect them. (Old School Master Machinist) 😂

Super sturdy chair and the accessories kickstand holds spray bottles more efficiently than the tray. The tray is good for heavy things that are prone to tipping over. Thanks Viper!

I had put off buying a vyper stool only because of the price but I finally decided to pull the trigger I am 100% glad I did with detailing for almost 40 years I have knee and back pain and the vyper stool has helped with that. As the old saying goes you get what you pay for and with Vyper it is 100% true. One of the best PCs of equipment I ever bought. So if your on the fence do it you will be glad you did.

Never used a shop chair, mostly the hoist and a creeper. but as I got older (63) getting on and off a creeper or kneeling on a cement floor was getting a lot tougher. i just received and installed the EZ-Lift on my Kamimura edition Robust Steel Max chair. NOTE it's compatible with the adjustable backrest which i installed at the same time. i much prefer the gas cylinder for seat height adjustments over the original Quick Height mechanism. plus, i'm now able to swivel my seat while my feet are perched on the foot ring instead of placing my feet on the floor to turn the entire chair which sometimes involved adjusting the seat height to do so...not anymore! Addressing the elephant in the room.. the Vyper Turbo fan is pretty much absurd for $495. The 20" Air King worked for the past 1.5 years that I bought on Amazon. It looked decent and for $120, I was fairly happy. The primary negative was the mechanical noise it made. The three blade fan was just noisy even at its lowest setting. Well vyper had one of its best holiday seasons, so I waited almost a month to get my steel max. It was completely worth the wait. I was able to use a govx mil discount as well. Couldn’t be more happy with the Vyper creeper. At 6 ‘3” and 250 pounds this is the first creeper that I can actually fit on and feel supported. The only small thing that I might say is, if you’re paying for the blue creeper, why not the blue wheels also so it can match my elevated steel max?
