These panels are the best in my opinion, I worried about the rigidity of the felt backing but it is very rigid and fixes to the wall even though the base surface wasn't that great. Also, the 3 sided finish on the lats played a big part for me, I'd seen boards with just front finish and although nice, you can see the MDF base material when you examine them closely. Not only does it look fantastic it is also extremely easy to fit, cutting to length and installing only took an hour or so. It provides great soundproofing to the adjoining room. The other advantages are that they can easily be removed if ever the door is required again.
