Had to cut down a totara but left it to shrub up, and I had to add a Metal bird. It’s perfect looking out to the bay and it’s about my 20th bird. Glad this wee tern also helped raise money…🌟

I’ve lived in New Zealand for 50 years and am finally becoming a citizen in two weeks time. To celebrate becoming a Kiwi I have just purchased the brown kiwi to add to my collection and plan to put him in the garden by my front door so that visitors can clearly see a Kiwi lives in this house now.

I mounted my Ruru Metalbird on a piece of driftwood that I found locally. I sanded and polished it before attaching it to an outdoor column, then added the Ruru above head height. It looks terrific against a clear sky.

My kiwi is soo cool. I see him from the drive and lounge. When I'd first open the curtains he surprised me! He's in the grass so I can move him if I want. Next time he'll be closer to the bushes in a more natural surroundings. Fun!

I purchased Tara iti for my daughter's birthday gift. Was nice to have a gift card enclosed as well. The reason I purchased Tara iti is because these birds are almost extinct, and Auckland Zoo are working hard to increase numbers. A portion of the cost helps the Zoo with this work. The other reason I purchased Tara iti is because my daughter lives near the coast and therefore it would be the most suitable location to be shown off along with Penguin I gave her some time ago.
