These are really nice grow bags. The fabric is a sturdy with strong straps needed for lifting and moving as needed. The thick material that looks like it will last for many summer growing seasons. The 3 one foot square pockets are perfect for square foot gardening but with the benefit of being portable if needed. I plan to use them for growing flowers to attract pollinators to my garden. Excellent grow bags, great size for those of us with long narrow set ups. Like the descriptisays, these are 1' high (10" growing depth likely since you won't fill it all the way to the top). One foot deep and 3 foot wide. Sq foot gardeners - that's 3 squares in one grow pot. They are 12"x36"x12" (WxLxD) in size and each compartment holds a max capacity of 1 cu/ft or 7.5 gallons. Since you want a small bit of wall still above the soil I'd say each compartment is 7 gallons.
