If you want strong feet, transitioning to barefoot/minimalist shoes, alongside a strength and mobility practice for your ankles and feet is the way forward. After many years with different styles and using my V-Trek's / V-Trails / KSO EVO's and V-Runs for the gym I finally bought a pair of V-Train 2.0's. Loving them so far. I ordered a pair of these as I'd picked up not one but two black toes after a series of marathons earlier this year, blistering both big toes on one of them.
