I only use your sunflower seed. The larger 50 lb. bag saves so much money! The seed in stores are not the same quality. The medium cut seed is perfect for winter weather.

I only use Elk Mound finely chopped and medium chopped sunflower seed. This is so much more economical than buying in a store, and excellent quality. I use the finely chopped in my tube feeders, and the medium chopped in the tray feeder. Any that falls to the ground disappears for ground feeding birds. Even have a squirrel who comes by every evening at sunset!

I took this picture to show the difference in the corn stalks heights. The corn on the right was planted May 10th, the corn on the left planted May 31st. Cannot understand why the corn on the left is a foot or more higher. We picked the right side corn yesterday and tomorrow as it's been about 85 days, the corn is very good and tasty, just didn't get the amount as we've had in previous years. The left side corn will be picked around August 19th. Ron R.

Corn was planted first week of June, August 7 now. Just starting to make ears, looking good. Not much deer pressure with 3D electric fence. Another month to really rate. More than happy so far.

I use Buck Forage Oats exclusively and mix them with brassicas. Trophy bucks only come to this variety of oats, especially in U.S. Southeast December. Wait for it. The best bait is young bucks feeding in the food plot. I put 60 lbs of Milorganite per acre with seeding. This repels deer for about six weeks to allow biomass to build. Many handsome buck harvests, and one making it into the SC State Whitetail record book. Buck Forage Oats are worth the price. Cheers

Although I dont eat your nyger bird seed myself, I gave you 5 stars because it is apparent that the Goldfinches absolutely love it. We have 7 feeders, 3 of which are shown in the photo, and I fill each feeder to the top every morning. We love watching the birds and look forward to when the Goldfinches return to their dazzling yellow livery. A big "thank you" to you folks for selling the this seed at the best price on the internet.

planted around the first of September and it did not rain for several weeks, flocks of birds flew up every time I visited the plot. I was worried that a portions of the seeds might have been eating so spread more seed again at the beginning of October. Seed finally came up after some rain, the more rains the more seed bloom I see.

I have been a customer of Elk Mound Seed for some time. I was searching for sunflower seed, in bulk, because buying seed 10 lbs at a time was so expensive. I also wanted sunflower seed because it is shelled, no waste. I store the seed in a metal trash can. Previous videos will show that the birds love it!

The bag covers exactly what it claims to cover. There is plenty of seed in a 9lb bag to cover at least an acre. I went a little thinner because I mixed it with another 9lb bag of different forage. The seed germinated very quickly and responded well to the milorganite fertilizer that I applied after the first month. I posted 3 pictures, the first is the day I planted, then 2 weeks later and 4 weeks later. Now that it's been 6 weeks, it is twice as thick and green as it was 2 weeks ago. The ...

Quick Trip Attribute II Sweet Corn was a great choice for late season crop. We used it for selling and canning. This and similar varieties in this line provided tight husk excellent pollination full ears that look good and resist ear worm issues. Remedy Attribute II has larger ears longer growing time but Quick trip was just as good about 3/4 ear size. Large producer sometimes 3 ears useable per stalk. Mostly two ears per stalk.

The Goldfinches are here! Two feeding areas and all the feeders have sunflower seeds, fine ground. These videos were taken in mid April in Pennsylvania. No waste! The doves get fed too.

Soybeans are doing really well. Always get Eagle seed since they are glysophate tolerant, and I just broadcast the seed since I don't have heavy duty tractor equipment. I didn't even till this year! I will definitely continue using this brand!!!

These Forage beans have exceeded my expectations. Germination was excellent even with the cool wet spring. The deer absolutely love them. There are deer feeding every night. They are holding up well to the heavy browsing.

I don't have a row seeder. I called to confirm planting depth. I used my 8' disc to till the soil, then at the end leave about 1 and 1/2 inch grooves. I broadcasted the seed, then used a homemade drag to cover the seek. It worked very well. High percentage of germination. I sprayed with Roundup. The field, generally very prone to heavy weeds, is right now weed free with 2' corn. Very pleased.

It was quite dry when I planted and only got a quarter of an inch of rain right after planting and right on time it started showing up and we’ve since been blessed with some pretty decent rain fall and I’m pleased with the way the plants are performing. I’m anxious to see the end result.

We have utilized Your seed for quite a few years, the sweet corn is amazing!! We freeze pack the corn so we can enjoy it year round. I took about 40 dozen ears into the hospital for my coworkers to feed their families. If the Good Lord blessed us with a good yield, it will be shared. I’ve done this for a few years. The corn has always been outstanding. Great service, great product and great people. Thank you!

After years of trying different seeds, I only use Elk Mound sunflower seeds. I use the fine and medium ground in my bird feeder and tube feeders. The video shows what I watch everyday. There is no waste. In the summer I had doves and woodpeckers at the feeder! Multiple species all year. Thank you Elk Mound!

This small test plot of RR sweet corn was hand planted. I’d say I used all 2500 kernels and every seed sprouted. We’ve had a lot of rain in southern Indiana and it appears I have some soil quality problems but the corn is growing fast. I used glyphosate once and ready to spray again. Good seed!

I only use Elk Mound sunflower seed. I use the fine ground sunflower seed for the tube feeders. In fall and winter I use the medium ground sunflower seed in the tray feeder. It’s heavy enough that it doesn’t blow away on windy days, and it holds up well in rain or snow. This seed is great. All my birds friends are very happy 😊

Most people don’t believe me, but after years of trying different bird seeds from different companies, I realized that almost all the birds in my area in Pennsylvania love sunflower seed! But consider that most is in the shell, only good for larger birds, and squirrels. This ground sunflower seed is ALL I use…… Fine ground for tube feeding, medium ground for tray feeding. The birds are here every 15 minutes to feed. This will really increase as spring nesting season approaches. I am so thankful ...

Planted it in mid June in michigan. It is 10 ft tall already in mid August. Had a really bad storm roll through and kinda knock it down a bit. It dried off and stood back up really good. Overall I am very happy with it and I would recommend it.

I bought this to just try to plant it in the middle of the woods. I didn't use lime or fertilizer so I wasn't expecting much for results. Within a week it was already starting to come up and three weeks later, it's coming in thick and green. I'm very impressed.

I LOVE Elk Mound...and so do the birds and squirrels I feed! I'm happy to write more reviews since my original reviews did not transfer over to the new system. The owner is outstanding and very kind! The birds and squirrels love the Songbird Birdseed Mix and Cardinal Birdseed Mix. Birds and squirrels will come to my window sill if the feeders are empty, activating the camera's motion sensor. Nature's way of yelling, "Hey lady!" LOL, the delivery fee increased by a dollar and change, I'm gu...

I do not have any ears of corn off of these plants yet, there is still another 20 days left before it matures. So far I'm very happy with it and the plants seem to be very strong and healthy but I have put two rounds of fertilizer on this crap. As of right now I would definitely plant this again.

I wanted to post a video showing how busy it can get at my birdfeeders, LOL, showing only the squirrels in the camera's view (there's at least 6 or 7 more not in view). The Horse Pasture Forage Mix is great. Disced the pasture before planting and harrowed the pasture after seeding, along with adding fertilizer. Had good rainfall to get seed started and established. Pasture came in full and lush. Kept horses off of pasture about 4 weeks to allow it all to grow. Good rainfall and harrowing the seed in is key.

So far so good! We applied 220 pounds of nitrogen and 25 pounds of potash. Started tasseling this week. Only one thing that is odd. Greater than 90% of the plants (25M population) are growing suckers. I believe with all the nitrogen, we will have good tip fill and nice fat ears. We have had over 20 inches of rain since planting.

Handling deer browse very well. Deer love it and are in it everyday. It grew well and was very tolerant to round up applications. I sprayed it twice to keep weeds down and the beans are thriving.

Installed gravel water bars and then seeded with Timber n' Trail mix to inhibit erosion. Before and after photos are about 7 weeks apart. Very pleased with the results. Thanks, Mike K.

The young male Cardinal born this Spring is adorable, and will land on the window ledge if I need to refill the feeders (just like the doves and a few of the smaller species). The Cardinal Blend is a favorite of the Cardinals, Mourning Doves, Cowbirds, Sparrows, Finches, Chickadees, Crows, and SQUIRRELS. LOL. The Blue Jays like peanuts so they prefer the Songbird Blend. I have two 3.2 pound bird feeders and two trays for the larger birds (one I fill with water). Within 13 hours, the birds e...
