We have tried clay, clumping, crystal, paper, equine type bed pellets/sawdust which break down when urinated on, to sawdust. This has been by far the best litter so far. I love that you can get a visual colour warning of possible urinary health problems. A great peace of mind especially with elderly kitties. As a bonus it dries out any number 2. So I haven't been able to smell the moment one it deposited, unlike previous litters we've used. My boy had surgery not too long ago and his medication nakes him use the loo a lot more with also a stronger odor. Since using FitLitter, my house is odor free! I’ve had problems with my cat Roxie who will be 2 in a few months, peeing outside the litter box if she has already pooped in the tray.
