My first raised bed, and won’t be my last. Assembly was easy with very clear video instructions. Just stained a few days ago and look forward to planting once the frost warnings end!

We are very pleased with our purchase of 4 raised Cedar Planters for our Terrace Garden on the 36th floor of our Etobicoke condo. (This may be the highest Cedar Planter Garden in Toronto) We found them very easy to assemble but we started a little late in the season so our crops were limited. Since it’s only been up for a few days I can’t really give much of a review. It was very easy to put together and looks very nice in my yard. It seems to be very sturdy because it is held together by steel legs. Since I live in Arizona we will see how well it does in the heat. From all indications I think this one is going to hold up and be a keeper.

I was impressed with the shipping and packing of the product. Assembly video was excellent and the planters went together exactly as expected. Quality of the materials and hardware is well suited and should give long term serviceability. Everything setup and ready for planting as soon as the good weather arrives.

The boxes were easy to assemble, I built all three by myself in less than 2 hours (with several breaks to stretch out and admire my work). They’re good quality, sturdy, the wood is beautiful, and they hold a lot of plants. And finally, as an angry, embarrassed, proudly “woke” and actively dissenting Californian, I’m very happy to buy Canadian products!

Super easy single person assembly, great height for my back, look amazing and smell amazing. Love the planters so much for gardening that I now own 14 in total...and will likely be buying more once my greenhouse is built!! Thanks so much Cedar Planters Team for a great Canadian product!!

My first try with potatoes. I love the cedar planters, particularly, because they are raised and on our deck. Potatoes turned out great. We bought the larger one 48” for next year and will try more vegetables. Service and delivery excellent and video assembly made it even easier. Can’t wait for next year.

My cedar planter has brought me so much joy over the past two months! My hubbie and I build it in about 45 mins then I spent a couple of days prepping it with 2 coats of 410 clear Osmo oil which deepened its already gorgeous natural cedar glow. Now every morning I get to tend to and watch my lettuces and herbs grow—we eat fresh salad from the planter everyday! I can’t believe how happy it makes me to tend to our small (18”x36”) but very abundant little garden!

Love the feet for my planters on the deck, took one step further and added wheels (bought elsewhere)so I can move the garden boxes around if I need to! Great addition and make it so the legs don't scratch anything!

I bought two planters so I could grow my herbs close to where I cook. I call them my kitchen planters. The planters sit just outside my French doors by the kitchen. They arrived promptly. They are very easy to put together. Very clear instructions. I love them.

I just purchased three 18”x48” raised planter boxes and the covers as well. Too late to plant this year so I have just put the covers on and will wait patiently for the spring!
The covers fit absolutely perfectly and look good as well! Very happy with my purchase!

I ordered 3, 18x48 raised planter boxes. After assembly I put a coat of deep penetrating wood cedar oil on each of them.
Given the late stage of the summer I have simply put the liner in and covered them with the winter covers I had ordered. Absolutely love them!
Can’t wait to begin planting in the spring!

Great looking planter - easy to assemble. The assembly video was very helpful. The product quality is very good. It looks especially good with two coats of Osmo U.V. Protection oil.
I chose to mount it on a custom "dolly" made of Western Red Cedar and a set of four 3" casters rated at 225 lbs each.
We intend to plant next spring so haven't added the soil yet. We also plan to use it as a solid and sturdy base for a custom 54" wide cedar trellis.

Second purchase, so that is an endorsement! I first bought the 36" but decided the 24" was a better size for a balcony so I gave the larger one to my Mum. (36" in photo)Very well made with quality materials. Excellent instructional video that talks you through each step. Delivery to your door via UPS is included in the price which means no wrestling the box in and out of your vehicle and up the elevator.

We had two of these cedar planters and they were great for our herb garden. Plus is saved my knees from hurting too much because I didn’t need to kneel down to harvest the herbs, tomatoes, marigolds and beans. We have got two more we have just assembled and will be in use in our garden this spring of 2023. Our neighbours love them too.

The covers have turned out to be perfect for us. We have the planters in a place that can be too windy for little plants. So, we have the cover on while the plants are young. As they get older, we can remove the covers, leaving the frame in place. Excellent product and service from the company.

Easy to assemble! Look great! I planted one with various vegetable seeds, already using fresh lettuce and today I transferred tomato plants and sowed more rows of vegetable seeds in the second planter. It’s great for me doing all this work at waist level! 😊

I love everything about Cedar Planters, from the ease of ordering, building, filling them, (instructions are included for the amounts of soil you will need) to the final look when they are planted.
We have a cottage with a significant drop off. Rather than putting up a fence to protect our guests, we chose the 72” raised planter boxes. The look is exactly what we were going for. The planter boxes are both beautiful and functional and we are looking forward to our first harvest.

Our unit was very easy to assemble, add the liner and fill with soil. Our tomato plants, altho' slow this year to produce and ripen tomatoes have thrived and we are now harvesting! I have given the unit a complete coat of clear UV protection and have added the cover to protect it this winter. Overall we are very pleased with our purchase.

I just love my planters, the quality is great, the wood is very smooth and looks good quality. The first one was a little hard to put together, we had to drill some of the holes for screws, but after we’d done one, the others were easy and much quicker. I have been growing my veg in grow bags so some I just picked up and put straight in 2 of the planters, but the other 2, I filled with my potting soil and planted bush beans in one and beets and carrots in the other. We started off buying 2 of the planters last year. They worked out so well that we've ended up with 7. They are very good quality. Easy to assemble and very easy to tend. This year we planted romaine lettuce, broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage and chard in them. And all of the plants are doing extremely well. We can't recommend these strongly enough.

Good day,
Well summer has now arrived in my part of Ontario along with a lot of crazy weather 😆 Finally have my veggie boxes planted.
The assembly was straight forward and done well in advance of planting. I used the recommended sealant, “Sealit Green” , which was dream to use, and great Tutti Fruiti smell 😆
Filled them up with a mix of good quality soil and organic compost. I made my own Olla Pots. Now we wait for Mother Nature 🪴

Worth the wait. You can buy cheaper but you will not find better quality. The cedar picked to build the planter is the best I’ve seen for a long time. Cheaper cedar will rot in half the time. You get the quality you pay for with this planter.

As a senior who has enjoyed gardening most of my life, I am no longer able to turn soil and fight nature's weeds and insect pests, even though I live on a 100 acres plot of farm land.
This year my children got together and gifted me with two of your 48" garden boxes and one greenhouse cover. Assembly was easy (but not 5 minutes...lol)
Would recommend that the base kit comes with the feet (currently sold separately) I created my own out of pressure treated wood as the extra charge for the feet didn't feel worth the cost.
Would love to see a smaller version with undermount brackets that would be suitable for a window box planter....
