It was time to wash my existing bolster cover and so I ordered a replacement. I am really happy with it - the fabric is beautiful and the cover fits nice and snug. So well made.
Now I have a summer and winter bolster!
It is a good idea to have a spare bolster cover, either for a nice change or when the other one is in the wash.

It is good quality and really well made, with nice block print fabric backed with padded cotton, a sturdy zip to take the cover off and a second zip on the cushion itself to adjust the cushion filling of buckwheat husks. It looks as though it will last for many years - and it is comfortable to use.

I already use the zabuton with Zafu and purchased another set as a gift for someone prone to back pain as the angle while sitting cross legged seems to slightly engage the core muscles and help strengthen the lower back.
I’m 63 with dodgy knees and can’t manage sitting cross legged with knees flat but have been steadily improving over the last few months. The cushions make it very comfortable to maintain the posture for around half an hour pain free.
