We picked up our first Puzzle Lab puzzle on a trip to Victoria, so when this one was announced before Christmas it was a sure fire great gift for my wife. She loves it! The craftsmanship and artistry in these puzzles is amazing.

This was a great starter Puzzle Lab puzzle. (We did the level 2 version, containing 175 pieces.) Completing it was fun and satisfying. My friend and I were able to knock it out over a few hours. It wasn't too easy. It was, however, easy enough not to be frustrating. The painting was beautiful, as were the puzzle's construction and boxed presentation. We're looking forward to tackling a more challenging puzzle in the near future. Level 3, here we come!

The puzzle was doable through the birds, leaves and nest. Then I was left with lots of lilac pieces. This was a challenge and a lot of fun. One has to be careful positioning the pieces as they are thick. I really enjoyed the solving experience.

Fun and beautiful, and very difficult! All the pieces fit together and many of the pieces are very similar, so it was easy to put a piece in the wrong place and not notice until much later!

Fun to put together. It was officially "easy peasy" so I got one for my friend that was "tricky trouble", a couple levels harder. He'll need some help from his wife. Some of the pieces are weird shapes, adds to the fun. Working with the wooden pieces takes a little more finesse.

Feast your eyes on the most adorable holiday puzzle ever made! I was actually expecting to breeze through this because of the low piece count and the distinct artwork but it was a surprisingly spicy puzzle! This puzzle is a masterpiece for sure. I love the unique pieces and I love the brilliant colors. It took me a good amount of time, but wasn’t overly difficult. This puzzle is definitely one of the favorites in my collection.

The puzzle is a real challenge. But at some point you realize that not all the pieces are shaped identically and there are 3-4 different shapes. This leads you to learn which are the edge pieces. Then focusing on the sky-to-mountain color line, the black and gray orca pieces and the tree silhouettes gives you some sections to work on. Sometimes you realize that one piece seems to fit but isn't quite right. Then you must seek out the similar piece to swap them and the puzzle then works out proper...

Incredible quality - I loved this puzzle so much! I taped the back with painter's tape so I can hang and display it. This is a totally unique puzzle and it's absolutely gorgeous.

I was so excited to purchase this wood, sustainable puzzle where every piece is shaped like an Orca but was nervous at the 4 pepper rating, not knowing what that meant. This puzzle was the right amount of challenge. You need to focus on the smallest details (like in the water or the sky) but yet is relatively simple to complete. After seeing the piece on TV, I was excited to try one of these puzzles. I ordered the “easiest” to try it out and was glad I’d done so! When it arrived, I was eager to get at it and jumped right in. At first I found it quite challenging because it’s so different from other jigsaws, but I did manage to finish it in one evening. Now I need to see how to mount it for display! One day I’ll attempt a more difficult one.

I visited your store when I came over from the UK to visit my daughter who now lives in Vancouver. The colors are deep and vibrant - just like the serene Italian lake in the artwork. Each Puzzle Lab puzzle is BETTER than the last!! Maybe it just seems like that - the sensory stimulation from the feel of the pieces - to their woodsy smell - to the WACKY CUT only to be topped off with the artwork from REAL Canadian ARTISTS - one of my favorite collections!!!

The quality of this puzzle is second to none, it is beautifully made and I am sure we will keep it in the family for generations, although more expensive than other puzzles, worth the investment and definitely will be buying more in the future.

Absolutely blown away by my new custom dog puzzle! I hired one of my favorite artists to illustrate my pups & had Puzzle Lab turn it into the most gorgeous puzzle. The cut was so superb and even came with four dog themed whimsies!!! Highly recommend trying a custom image. I cannot wait to order another one! :) This would make the most perfect gift.

Love this puzzle!! Every piece is so unique and distinctive that I solved it twice- once face up and once face down. This is the first puzzle I’ve done face down! It’s super relaxing… just matching the subtle details of the curves and the wood grain… The puzzle is amazing quality and totally unique. I can’t wait to get more! 10/10 would recommend.

Started with something easy “the birds” then spread out color groups the went at it. Two of us worked flat out 4 hours. It was our first puzzle and we loved it! Bit pricey but , worth it.

This was my first puzzle from Puzzle Lab and I totally enjoyed the journey to completion. I thought that I could complete the 213 piece jigsaw in a couple of hours, but I was in for a surprise. I truly loved that each piece was unique and ‘weird’. My only complaint is that the diagram on the back of the box lid was too small and hard to see. I would rather a have a piece of paper to work with than a puzzle box. I will definitely purchase another puzzle. Thanks Larry Marak

The piece shapes perfectly complement this flowy artwork! I normally reference the artwork on the box a lot when I puzzle but for these types of puzzles I find I don’t really need to. The colours and shapes guide you through the process and it’s very meditative. I had seen this puzzle done using one of Monica Morrill's paintings and the shape of the puzzle pieces were so unique I thought I would try one of my own paintings. Love the unique cut and the pic - something different than many other puzzles. That said, I am not a huge fan of the black painted back (gets fingers, puzzle boards, etc. marked up).

I should have started with the frame. But in the end I loved this. It was the very first puzzle I did from puzzle lab and I was really worried at first that all the others that I purchased were going to be the same with the boomerangs shapes that constitute the center portion. They were so tricky to keep them together with my slight tremor and arthritic hands! But then I was thrilled with it!

This is an amazing puzzle. Kudoes to the artist. But equal creativity by the creators of the program that laser cut the pieces. I don’t think that there are any pieces that had the same shape. Fiendish. For the last fifty pieces, no chance to match colour; so take each piece, twist and turn till you get it to fit. Wonderful, and the only puzzle that we will frame.

Wow! I love putting together puzzles— this one felt different than any other puzzle I’ve ever attempted! It was a challenging joy to piece together. There are only three or four different shapes— all in the shape of a whale. Usually the edges are the easiest part— not with this work of art! Swirls of sunrise on the water with cascading hues of the mountains and early morning sky surround the orca popping up to see the view. I love this puzzle!!

We loved our puzzle, but sadly one of my pieces broke while I was trying to undo the puzzle and it made me very sad :( now it’s incomplete and was not able to be fixed with superglue

I thought it would take months because of the shapes but it took 3 weeks for the bear and 2 weeks for the orcas. They were much more fun and challenging than regular jigsaws!

MENTALLY STIMULATING!! The squiggly pieces and the irregular edge kept me on my toes the entire time - but in a REALLY GOOD way!! I could almost feel the brain connections high-fiving one another!! Awesome!!

This is the second puzzle I purchased from Puzzle Lab. These puzzles are unique- the pieces do not resemble ordinary puzzle pieces. Each piece is different and the unusual shapes made it extra challenging but also satisfying. I will probably purchase more in the future.

The hardest puzzle I have done so far. It was fun to do and very unique. Whale shaped pieces to make a whale puzzle :) The quality of the pieces is great too and best of all its made by canadian artists in Canada. Would definitely recommend and buy another one.

I purchased four of these for my adult children as a special family event remembrance. All were enthusiastically received, and two were started almost immediately! Upon opening the package, the comments were: "Beautiful!", "Wow!", "Challenge Accepted!" and "Even the Box is Special!" They rated the puzzle as difficult but fun and worth the effort for a unique and memorable piece.
