As soon as I opened the carefully packaged shower head and filter I knew I was in for a treat! The fantastic quality of the all metal shower head and hose is such a huge difference when compared with the plastic one I replaced. The large shower head produces a nice gentle but drenching flow. The first thing I noticed about the Hammerhead Shower Filter is its weight; it feels like a chunk of metal, no doubt because it’s loaded with KDF-55 and Sodium Sulfite. I installed the filter the day I received it. My husband always complains that his skin is too dry and itchy after a shower. Well, he took a shower with the filter installed and he noticed a HUGE difference! He shaves his head, so no comment on his (lack of) hair. LOL Today I got to try it out. I ordered the hand-held shower head, but immediately realized I needed the arm extension due to the original arm install being so close to the ceiling. We had trouble with the upper locking gear on the arm extension, getting it to pop out and twist as the video decribes. Nice features and design. I had this professionally installed because I didn’t want to risk drilling through the tiles for the vertical rail. Even the plumber found it challenging to get all of the fittings to be tight enough to prevent leaks but it ultimately worked great! I wish the hand held sprayer had some different flow settings (i.e. massage, pulse, etc.) but otherwise very happy. Easy to install. I used the anchor bolts. If you use the anchor bolts you'll need a 5/16" drill bit. Directions only mention 1/4" bit if you are drilling into a stud. Also added silicone to seal screw holes. Still looking into why the screw that allows the the shower head holder to tilt was way too hard for me to turn, had to get my husband to do it.
