This thing is great. I use a large hammock (Draumr XL) and I had my doubts it would fit correctly. So far so good! Kristen was very helpful with questions I had, as well. I recommend watching the initial setup videos. I can put this thing up in about a minute, and back in the back almost as quickly, now. :)

3 nights so far using my Turtlebug with my light fighter hammock and Helico-tex swagman roll as an underquilt. Topped off with my Aqua Quest tarp with custom pole modification. Works great, had a night with heavy wind and rain, I battend down the hatches had no problems. Love my Turtlebug.

I have the Turtlebug, the original Cricket, and almost passed on this. So glad I didn't! I now have my lightest go-to stand for hanging my beloved AMOK without trees when hiking and/or inside if needed while traveling. The engineering and thought that went into improving and updating the original Cricket was well worth the purchase for me. The “How to Videos” are definitely a BIG HELP when sitting the stand up. I’m pretty sure the set up time will decrease as I set this stand up more. The ridge line is not as taught as when hanging a hammock between trees, but as I understand when using the Yobogear ridge poles, you do not have as taught of a ridge line. Its great that you don’t need trees nearby to swing comfortably in your hammock. Thanks so much for them helpful videos with your tips and tricks. Happy Hanging Everyone 😁

This is a great little lightweight compact table! Top is taught and sturdy, had no issue setting water bottles and cups on it. I’m not gonna lie, it took me a couple of tries to get it together right with the undermesh, but once I did, and saw how it worked, I’ve had no issues assembling it since. If only there were a carbon fiber version… 😁

I have several hammock stands and this is by far my favorite. It is lighter, easier to transport, and easier to setup and take down than other options. Due to blizzards and such I haven’t had a chance to setup outside yet, or try the tarp attachments, but I have set it up it in the basement several times to try it out. The cricket 2.0 worked great. When it first came in the mail, it was missing the tarp poles, but YOBOGear got me the parts quickly. The customer service is amazing. I do still have a few things to work out. My normal set up on trees is: tree straps, carabiners and climbing rings with a Hennessy. I am going to need to reassess, as that is just a bit to long for the stand. If I were to do a normal lashing, there would be plenty of room. I do love the stand and the company!

It was a wonderful weekend away with the Turtle Bug, a Amok Dramr and a Hennessey Hammock Hex Tap with homemade poles to create a canopy. It was fantastic to pull it out and it almost put itself together. No more struggling with poles and sleeves. The gentle shifting as I rolled over was no concern at all and I slept like a baby. I wish I had room in my house to set this up. It would become my regular bed!! 😂 fantastic Product. I Highly recommend.

As a hammocking backpacker, I was ecstatic to see a mobile hammock stand that collapses easily into the case. I personally broke it down by three sections, the stands and the top pole. This method requires keeping the green buttons handy. My one mistake was taking backpacking sized tent stakes. The small stakes weren't adequate in the soils I camped in. This stand is incredible. No more messing with hammock suspension to get it “just right.” Honestly I was only planning to use it for traveling through desert, but after a weekend test run in the ozarks, I think the turtlebug will become a permanent part of my moto camp. Inexpensive biner loop around the frame, create a marlin spike loop near the other end of my homemade guylines and attach a MSR Cyclone stake to the ground in case of windy conditions when a hammock is installed and a tarp isn't installed/guylined down.

I'm 63 and riding a DL650 VStrom Adventure Bike, my panniers Have a narrow opening but the Turtlebug is so easy to separate into two pieces, I can put one on each side of the bike and distribute the weight evenly.
