These conditioning belts are great for satin finishing blades. The blade shown was pretty beat up after some performance testing, but the sequence of coarse-medium-fine conditioning belts brought it back nicely. Having used these on several different styles of knife, I think I probably want to add the super-fine grit to my arsenal. Switches to red label after being very disappointed in the other highly advertised belts belts…. My biggest complaint with the other company has been the edges holding up and how fast the grit became unusable. This is not the case with red label abrasives. Didn't expect a whole lot of the aluminum oxide belts based on my experience with other brands and to say I was pleasantly surprised doesn't quite articulate the superior performance of this product!
