I was hesitant to get bags because I thought it would change the look of the bike but these bags go so well with my Scout. I got the pair so I can fit my jacket and hat on one side and tools and snacks on the other one. I can't wait to take the bike out on longer rides this Spring. The installation was super easy. The brackets and bolts all arrived wrapped up so no damage to the bags. It comes with 2 keys. I really like them and I highly recommend them.

Installation is pretty straight forward with the directions. These bags dont have the cut-out for the shocks so they sit back further and with the spacers sit slightly away from the bike. With my placement I tried to stay in line with the curve of the rear fender and like the way it turned out. Only thing I would suggest for anyone doing this install would be to add heat shielding to the hard bag above the exhaust. There is about 2" of clearance but better safe than sorry. The bags installed perfectly with the FAT mounts. I purchased all 340 stainless hardware for the install, to avoid rust. I used 40 mm and 30mm washers, 90mm and 100 mm socket head cap bolts partially threaded for the top connectors, and buttonhead bolts 20mm for the lower two holes on each mount. After watching several YouTube videos, I received my bags quicker than I originally thought. I opened my box and both my leather covered hard bags were carefully packed so no damage on delivery. I got these bags for my 2019 Harley Sportster Iron 883 and they are perfect! They look great and will hold what I need to carry. They look great and are very functional! Using them for winter season to put all my leathers in. My only issue was during install! I never received the bolt alignment tool to help the bags latch correctly. So it was a real pain trying to get it to latch.

My only issue was freight, I was quoted by email a certain amount but when I ordered online the freight was 3 times more expensive and I couldn't change it to the quoted amount. That said the bags arrived in a timely fashion and were a day early. Matched keys would help also. Looking forward to trips away and shopping will be much easier.

I love the fact that you don't have to relocate the tail lights or the plate. That was my biggest selling point by far. I incorporated a sissy bar with the bags so obviously I had to get longer bolts but it worked great. The bags are quality and the leather look goes great with my bike.
