Initially had some difficulty pushing the lid down after inserting capsule. Had to use a bit of force. Some capsules were easy to eject but some not (got stuck) especially when you try to express more water by pressing the button again. After more usage, the machine works fine. Handy to have this when you want a quick cuppa without fuss. I especially enjoy the Ethiopian Yirgacheffe and Yirguji blends.

The provided spoon works well to compress the coffee powder. It takes some practice to place the capsule accurately into the Nespresso machine. The manual can be a little clearer in this aspect. The flavour of the coffee is not as strong as original pods. There is less crema and less aroma. But it is a useful way to save on original pods

I was asked by Cowpresso to try Nanyang Kopi when I consulted them on my inability to achieve a good crema with the other beans. This is the only dark roast on the Cowpresso beans menu. As a dark roast, it certainly produced a cremier extraction than the other medium roast beans. The crema is what I was looking for. So all good on that front.
