This is my third Katana from Katana sword. Two of the three are custom. For my most recent I chose the “Kobuse Forge” Katana. I have to say compared to the other two, which are both T10 steel and razor sharp, it is much sharper. I don’t reccomend doing this because it can damage the blade, but I tested it out cutting a dry bamboo stalk, and it went through it like butter. The cut did not leave any marks on the blade. I knew it wasn’t going to be an heirloom quality build but in no way is this a cheap replica. The steel is good. The Hamon is creative and becomes more expressive with further polishing. Nothing was loose except for a slight wiggle in the habaki. I was able to remove the tsuka, lacquered the ito, polished the seppas and shimmed the habaki.
