I had a problem mating the halves. The hook engaged on one side both ends. I squeezed the handles with plyers, still couldn't get the handle to lock together. I wrapped the handle with black electricians tape. two layers. Now the tape is securely holding the handles together. I used the buckets and the handles feel great. Please check a set of handles from the batch my order came from and you will see the problem. BUT! I like the handles.

By turning the threads off a 1 inch nipple fitting the hose fits right on. That way you can put a PVC ball valve inline to control water. If you don't have a lathe just file or sand the nipple down. A 1 inch PVC ball valve is very reasonable to purchase.

I love it, it really does what they say. It collects All the gold. I used it right out of the box and ran some dirt through that I had already panned by hand and the dream mat caught the gold I missed panning. I'm only just learning how to pan for gold. I didn't miss much when I panning the material, but missed enough. I'm going to order a 12v gold clean up buddy that I can take with me when I go out dry washing, as well as going to buy the 2nd gen dream mat for the Gold Buddy.

Bought a six inch jarvine to try in my switchback lower run while running the Combo Matt up top. I love to test and tinker. So I made a few adjustments. First to fit the width in the lower run. Modified it to have it stay in place on the lower micro matt. This let me to run Carolina clay pay fast up top to catch flakes and nuggies and slower on the bottom. Absolutely love it. Only one change I have made to the unit. A rubber washer on top of the bracket pinched between the wing nut and the bracket. Smoother release on the bolt as fine grains of sand can get pinched between metal to metal making the wingnut hang up when releasing.

I love your dream mat so much that the last mat I bought from you went to my prospector partner. He was impressed that I was even catching mercury balls with it. I also in the past have purchased your mini dream mat for fine gold clean up. I have a home made high banker that I use my mat for and 2 sluices on it but with the dream mat I found that the gold dont make it to the 2nd one. I would like to try the mid sized dream mat some day but have to wait till the wallet grows alittle.
