It really is pungent when I opened the container. I let it "air out" for a few days and then attached it to her collar. So far, no flea eggs or fleas and I am highly pleased. The furlife company is amazing when I ordered for my 3 dogs who were having issues, once I put on the product within days we noticed a big difference but my pups are crazy and ended up losing parts and causing damage and when I notified the company they offered replacement and a suggestion to help so the picture shows how I put them on the collars after I taped the bubble opening. Very good experience with kitties accepting collars on without any problems including the slight odor.
