Caveat, I thoroughly abused these socks, in training for an upcoming 100km fell event, which is slightly outside of the parameters of their intended use! For team sports, shorter distances, hiking, work wear etc I wish I'd found them earlier as they're great. Bought these for early morning starts while hiking through damp grass, boots became saturated but feet stayed warm and dry. The ultimate test came while hiking the Oxford canal towpath. My foot disappeared through a hole in the path completely filling my boot, luckily the top of the sock stayed above water line. At first the feeling was that they hadn’t worked, as the sock felt squelchy. But after removing I found the foot be be completely dry! These socks are breathable and very comfortable too...

Worn these twice now in 2 hour plus rainy runs, they’re quite thick so kept my feet lovely and warm and completely dry, it was cold both times so great in winter. Have tested them thoroughly over the last few weeks on trail runs on boggy moorland - including the Saddleworth Ten Res's yesterday...27 miles in snow, rain, very boggy conditions.
