I had no idea this type of alcohol existed for perfume oils. I took a trip to Egypt and another American friend who is a perfume connoisseur introduced me to this website and product. When I purchased the natural oils in Egypt I was always told to just use mix regular rubbing alcohol with the oils and spray it onto my body and it should be good. This is exactly the leather FO I was looking for. This isn't a suede, more like an old leather chair. Slightly musky, animlaic, and well... leather. I would consider this at a fairly low strength and low diffusive. It tends to get covered up fairly easily by other FO/EO in mixtures. I am working on an EdC/EdP and keeping the leather from getting swallowed up by the base notes has been a bit of a challenge. Oud for me is difficult because I find reasons to revisit the scent. Fragrant, dark and resinous wood. Really good bourbon. I am making my version of Outlaw The Gambler. The Gambler was my favorite cologne before Outlaw shuttered their business. Bourbon is a key ingredient as the mixture is bourbon, tobacco, and leather. This has helped me get extremely close. This smells just like it came straight out a bourbon barrel.
