For the consistency, it is whipped but personally too thick for me to spread all over my body and put on my face so its better as a hand/foot moisturizer for me. I had ordered Shea butter from other retailers. I had only found one retailer that I liked. Comparing NorthShea to that retailer is no comparison. The butter is softer and it doesn’t have an odor/scent. I am a DIYer. I make body butters for my family(eventually will sell to others). But when mixing with other butters, the texture is smooth not gritty. I love it! And the price is a deciding factor also.
