Pattern worked out perfect. Satchel went together without any issues. Would have liked to use my machine but it could not sew through two layers of the 7-8oz veg tan that I used. So this satchel was all hand saddle stitched. I like to incorporate the brands if they are clean as can be seen in the back pocket.

I am currently making my third iteration of this bag. I used a combination Buckley guy and Tandy hardware. Definitely use the buckle guy tuck lock much better. Bag on the left is first and made to original specs. Bag on left has several changes. 1” wider gusset and much longer 14” shoulder pad. This is the same leather I just oiled the darker one. It's simply a great wallet, access to cards is very easy and not terribly bulky in the back pocket. Made to last a lifetime. A little awkward accessing the cash pocket(s), but who carries cash? Well worth the money.

So good, I reviewed it twice! I bought this wallet in August of 2019 and I like it even more now after 6 years than fresh out of the box. The stitching has held up perfectly, it has room for all the cards and cash that I need, and is relatively slim while still being made of authentic materials. The leather patina gets better with age.
